Why is it that Mars has no magnetic field, but the earth does, and the moon does not. Think about it; the answer is obvious.
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

Is it because of all the molten metal at the earth's core which the others don't have? :shrug

Should the world turn upside down and Rumpledthinskin gets elected again, one of his first executive orders would probably be to rename it as the MAGA-netic field.

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

You are right, only the planet earth has an "earth's core". Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

That is correct as far as it goes; there is a little more to it than that. Mars once had a magnetic field but lost it. I believe the reason is that the planet did not have enough mass to maintain a molten core that produced the dynamo effect needed. As time passed the core cooled; the protective magnetic field was lost, and solar winds stripped away most of the atmosphere allowing the seas to boil away. That is pretty straightforward; however, Venus is a different story can someone explain it?

Is it because she's a walkin' talkin' work of art?

That's attractive. . .but not as strong as a molten iron core.

Women are inexplicable, surely.

But I believe she is frigid at her core and languid in her movements thus lacks the elements necessary to magnetize.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.
