OK today it was 74F and very windy but it beats the 91F in Bloemfontein last Tuesday.

It's 18 right now in southern New England and I am envious of you.

It's been sub-zero for the last two days in my part of Wisconsin...  which I'm sure Reichsführer Trumpf will use as 'proof' that global warning is "fake news" and justification for pulling out — again! — from the Paris climate agreement.
Too bad his old man didn't pull out back in September, 1945.

Oh my gracious is that where you're living? It's beautiful. (I'm always torn between the city and the shore myself.) It's been 10 degrees F here the last two mornings but it got up to a high of 18 yesterday and we'll do it again today! Hey, it's just one more month until the first spring training game.

Where we used to live - in fact in a holiday home of some friends that rented to us twice before. We lived here for two years during/after Covid. These days we come back to SA for Jan/Feb to escape the bleak mid-winter. Much cheaper and nicer than Floriduh. Stopped in the UK to visit family, in Bloemfontein to visit many close friends - a few days in each - and now 6 weeks at the south coast with many more very close friends. Back to 80F today and the next couple, but hope for rain next week. Small town by the sea - boasts whales in September but we won't see them ever again. Seals and dolphins are about. Lots of birds. Bloody wagtails walking in through the door and crapping on the furniture once a day. Mountains off to the north and east. Lots of farmland. It's the Garden Route. Three people knifed badly at Opiespoor, the restaurant across the estuary from our house - some boere didn't want to leave at 1:30 a.m. so fought the staff. Bit like the old West in a way.

I never did see what was wrong with that song. ( baby it’s cold outside). The criticism is as stupid as the theory that “Louie Louie” was salacious.

( did liberals take stupid pills ? Defund the police, wokeism, neo-Marxism, trans mania?)

Liberals used to be clear-thinking, courageous, fighters for justice, Bertrand Russell, thurgood Marshall, McGovern, Carter, Krugman et al. Not these whiny malicious bitches try to use FORCE to get their way with pronouns and killing women’s sports with asinine social theories like “a man can become like a woman if he says so’ weaker and slower”.

JK Rowling is right. “Trans women are not women”. We can humor people’s self inflicted delusions to a point but no one has to share them. Reality intervenes.

Yrs,
Rubato.

Go back under the rock where you’ve been residing, why don’t you?
