The scans are in and I have a;

1. Superiorly dislocated clavicle at the acromioclavicular joint.

2. Displaced subchondrial fracture of the anterior medial tibial plateau, extending to the articular surface.

3. Subchondrial impaction fracture of the anterior medial femoralcondyle, with subtle depression of the suchondrial bone.

Both fractures have bone oedema.

Any advice?

Gob will be contacting the Doctors to see if they can get teh one Ortho surgeon to do both teh knee and the shoulder.

I am plugging for further scans to be done on his hips. I reckon we are going for a major timeoff work scenario here.

I will be get a solicitor tomorrow. The taxi driver is shirking his responsibilities.

I'm not a doctor, but I play one in my personal injury cases. In technical terms, you have a fucked up knee and shoulder. Depending on the severity of the clavicle dislocation and the displacement of your knee fractures, you may need surgery for either or both. Either way, you will be sore for a long time in recovery. If you need surgery for either joint, ask the doc how many of these procedures he has performed and what the outcomes have been. Also ask if s/he needed the surgery, who would s/he go to? The surgeon you may want for the knee might not be the same you'd want for your shoulder.

Get yourself a lawyer that specializes in personal injury, not one who has a "general practice," and preferably a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance.

Also, ask your lawyer about knee/shoulder docs. A good PI attorney should know about all your local orthopedists.

Sue, I'm hoping we don't need to get a lawyer involved, I've got (thanks to Hen, the worlds greatest wife) claims going in on workers compensation, on my TPCI, and hopefully against his insurers if he ever gets round to giving me their name.
