Gay hate comes to Canberra...

A collection of gay hate groups will join forces to rally against marriage equality in Canberra next month.
An initiative of the Australian Family Association, the National Marriage Coalition, the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL) and Dads4Kids: Fatherhood Foundation, the coalition is aiming for a repeat of its 2004 rally which coincided with the Howard Government’s changes to the Marriage Act.
The groups will meet in Parliament House’s Great Hall on August 16.
The ‘National Marriage Day’ is being advertised by the group as being the first day of sitting for the new Senate in which the Greens hold the balance of power, despite the new Senate having already sat this month.
“You are needed in Canberra to show support for natural marriage and warn all politicians,” its call to action on the ACL website reads.
The protesters have been asked to wear a ruby-and-gold dress theme to make a visual impact. Guest speakers will include US author and Washington Times columnist Rececca Hagelin, who’ll address the topic of ‘One Man, One Woman: The Future of Civil Society’.
The rally falls the day before MPs will be asked to report to Parliament on the views of their electorates regarding same-sex marriage.

How outrageous of these people to express their opinions to the Government and try to influence public policy.
Absolutely amazing how liberals play word games. It used to be that "hate" was manifested by genocide, lynchings, beatings, job discrimination, and harassment.
Now "hate" is opposing a total redefinition of an eons-old institution to BENEFIT the miniscule population of homosexuals (a minimal portion of the world population) who would like to get "married."
My wife is a left-handed golfer. Many specialty clubs, particularly Drivers, are not manufactured for left-handed women.
Little did she know that she is the victim of "hate" crimes.

Yes, what's outrageous is calling these people gay hate groups, when all they want to do is preserve marriage as its been defined for millenia.
But of course you know better than the evolution of civilization

I believe Lib has a point there...
When I think of a "gay hate group" I think of something like the Hilsboro Baptist "Church"...
If you're going to start defining every organization that opposes gay marriage as a "hate group", you're going to be including virtually the entire Muslim religion, the overwhelming majority of Christian denominations, and the majority of Jewish denominations...
That's a helluva lot of people belonging to "hate groups"...
I would suggest to anyone who thinks it can be defined that way that if they're looking for bigots, they should start with the mirror....
(In fairness it should be pointed out that the article doesn't come for a mainstream news source; it comes from a gay rights advocacy website, so the extremely hyperbolic language is perhaps understandable.)

If the shoe fits...
Opposition to same-sex marriage in those organizations is coming from some deep seated beliefs, which sure as hell don't include considering homosexuals to be "good people".
Objectively disordered is how one relgious organization describes gay people, inclined "towards an intrinsic moral evil". Calling people "disordered" and "evil" doesn't constitute hate speech? Apparently not to someone with his/her tongue wriggling deeply in the Pope's ass.

That is ridiculous! Get back to us when right-handed golfers lobby the manufacturers to oppose the production of left-handed clubs. We all know that you are just a bigot.
