Well it looks like I'm going to be put in for a position in Ft. Wayne for about 6 months. With some luck I'll get the job and be back in time to help my wife with the last few months of her pregnancy with some extra money to boot.

Where are you headed? Last I heard, Ft. Worth was still in Texas, next to that place they keep the (baseball) Rangers.

In any event, I have a hard time getting my head around "some luck" and either Ft. Worth or Ft. Wayne in the same post.

Unless the full phrase should be, "Some f**ing luck, right?"

I am glad the money is good as well. It is a shame you aren't out here. You'd get a 'baby bonus' payment from the Government for sprogging. I think it is up around $6,000 now. (Though we get a lot of young bogans getting pregnant to get their plasma screen tvs.)

Not anymore Hen. The plasma bonus is apparently given in vouchers now that can only be redeemed in certain shops and NOT for electrical goods.

Oh buggery bollocks.

Never mind. I wasn't thinking of having a kid just to get my hands on any money.

Good luck. I'll be passing through Indiana on US30 in 3 weeks enroute to Newton, Iowa for the Power Tour. Don't think I'm going anywhere near Fort Wayne, though.

Ft. Wayne? Right smack in the middle of nowhere. The excitement should be endless.
