Block your cards, dude.
Just before Christmas, my bank noticed 'suspicious activity'* and blocked my card for me.
*They didn't get anything, because I don't have any money in my account but it's nice to know my bank is on top of those things.

Loca...
Was it the Lucky market self-service check out skimmer scam?
Sorry about your ID theft, Crackpot.

Well, they didn't tell me what it may have been, but there isn't a Lucky's around here for me to get skim-scammed. ...and I don't use gas pumps. ...all the BART tickets? who knows?

There is a downside to not carrying cash.
Best of Luck CP. if you caught it early, should be no problem to get new cards.

Canncelling all your cards is premature at this point. It is a major inconvenience that may not even address whatever breach allowed someone to get access to your credit report., and any risk might just get transferred to the new cards. But notifying your card issuers is a good idea, they might have some heightened surveillance measures they can apply to your card activity in case someone is able to access them. You should them be reviewing your credit report every three months or so for a couple of years to identify any strange activity
