That's amazing how did you keep the sunlight from washing out all the other colors?
You must have stood in the same spot for so long, the dogs tried to pee on you!

It's actually a three image HDR.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging
It was shot at the correct exposure, then +2 stops, and then - 2 stopts, the images were then overlapped, rendered, and finally enhanced in photoshop.
A lot of arseing about for an image, but I think worth it.
When used in conventionally lit scenes it gives images like this;
Which is probably the best HDR I've done so far.
It's the modern equivalent of "darkroom tricks".

He is building up ever such a good portfolio.
ONE day, One DAY, one day I will get some of these professionally printed and mounted.
Unfortunately, as we want a more nomadic lifestyle as we age and the Hatch sets off on her own, I'll probably end up giving them away as well.

Now THAT I crave.
(Well, it would be nice to experience it for one winter of discontent in my life.)
I love the way the snow removes all colours and you get a black and white photo even though it isn't a black and white scene.
BTW - - 4 Celsius here this morning. I am hoping at least for a light falling of snow in the Capital before winter is over for the year.
