Re: Remember huh.corp?
I don't understand this LoCa....
You're engaged in another thread, the point of which is to try to bring an end to the feuding....
And yet here you are in this thread, at the exact same time that is going on, apparently trying to pick another fight, without any provocation...
Why?
I don't get it...How does this make any sense?

A) A pervasive pattern of self-defeating behavior, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts. The person may often avoid or undermine pleasurable experiences, be drawn to situations or relationships in which he or she will suffer, and prevent others from helping him, as indicated by at least five of the following:
1.chooses people and situations that lead to disappointment, failure, or mistreatment even when better options are clearly available
2.rejects or renders ineffective the attempts of others to help him or her
3.following positive personal events (e.g., new achievement), responds with depression, guilt, or a behavior that produces pain (e.g., an accident)
4.incites angry or rejecting responses from others and then feels hurt, defeated, or humiliated (e.g., makes fun of spouse in public, provoking an angry retort, then feels devastated)
5.rejects opportunities for pleasure, or is reluctant to acknowledge enjoying himself or herself (despite having adequate social skills and the capacity for pleasure)
6.fails to accomplish tasks crucial to his or her personal objectives despite demonstrated ability to do so, e.g., helps fellow students write papers, but is unable to write his or her own
7.is uninterested in or rejects people who consistently treat him or her well, e.g., is unattracted to caring sexual partners
8.engages in excessive self-sacrifice that is unsolicited by the intended recipients of the sacrifice
B) The behaviors in A do not occur exclusively in response to, or in anticipation of, being physically, sexually, or psychologically abused.
C) The behaviors in A do not occur only when the person is depressed

Re: Remember huh.corp?
I am compelled to concur with you Jim. What's even more confusing is LoCal's comment in another thread, almost simultaneous regarding "antagonism." Wtf??
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

We probably haven't finished discussing it.
But as you aren't interested in it, it won't matter to you Lo.

Wake up and smell the bullshit! We engage the Executive, leaders and their teams in the story, aligning them to the journey so that they understand it; believe in it; and commit to play their part.
We empower and equip them to discover the change they need to make. Using the power of narrative and a proven set of tools, employees at all levels generate their own stories of success.
Managers recognise and celebrate these stories, using them to reinforce new behaviours as “the way we do things round here.”
To keep the story alive, we continually refresh it, maintaining momentum behind change and allowing it to embed itself in the business.

Re: Remember huh.corp?
It just seems to me LoCa, if I try to put myself in your position...
If I was engaged in a dialogue, the purpose of which was to try and end a long running battle I had been having with someone here, the last thing I would do...the very last thing...
Would be to try and pick fights in other threads at the very same time that discussion was going on...
No matter how I felt about the other person, I would restrain myself from doing that, if for no other reason than I would realize how much it would bring the credibility of my sincerity about wanting to end the fight into question....
I really am curious as to why you thought doing this was a good idea...

Re: Remember huh.corp?
Your mistake Jim is in approaching it from the angle of a person who is actually interested in bringing an end to the bullshit.
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Re: Remember huh.corp?
(a) does this need an LJ/Loca mediation thread?
and
(2) do silent imps snort?
(edited to avoid the question who LM?)

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Remember huh.corp?
In thinking about that Sean...Your mistake Jim is in approaching it from the angle of a person who is actually interested in bringing an end to the bullshit.
Even if I didn't want to bring an end to the bullshit, I still wouldn't do this while the mediation was going on...
I'd at least wait until it had failed....
I wouldn't want to make it blatantly obvious to everyone that I didn't want the bullshit to end, (even to those who had tried to be fair, and not pre-judge) by openly trying to under-mine the mediation while it was taking place...Which is what this clearly looks like.
But maybe there's another explanation for what LoCa did here...
Off hand I can't think of any, but I'm still open to hearing it if LoCa has one.

Re: Remember huh.corp?
I don't think she can help herself
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Remember huh.corp?
One could argue that every single point from the Self-defeating Personality Disorder (also known as Masochistic Personality Disorder) posted by Gob applies to Lo.
One could argue that, but I am in the middle of a very unsaisfactory mediation at present so I won't.
