Ladies - are you bored of the hyper-sexualized contortionist poses of women in Movie Posters, Comic Books and well, just about everywhere?

Think it's time for some fair play? Or at least to just make it obvious to men exactly what the issue is? An artist Kevin Bolk thought so. So he lampooned the new Avengers film - and quite well, I'd say.

This is a parody of this promo art for the Avengers movie. I couldn't help but notice that in most of the ad material, the guys are all in heroic stances but Black Widow is almost always in an impractical, curved-spine "booty shot" pose. Figured I'd flip it around for my lady friends out there. Seemed only fair.

Have seen the Avengers [and if you haven't by now, you probably don't have kids] .... and it was GREAT! but I wouldn't recommend forking out the extra bucks to see it in 3D, didn't see the real point a that ...but I digress, that's not what I'm b!tching about today.

No, I'm b!tchin' about booty some more.
Finally, got to see the Black Widow in action, where she truly, awesomely, kicked ASS!
In fact, all the female characters were strong, smart and/or heroic ...but apparently, that doesn't sell toys and breakfast cereal in these United States.
No, you walk through the retail stores, and all you see are the male Avengers being proclaimed as 'Heros', without even a mention of Natasha Romanoff

...Where are the 'Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.' badges in pink?

...Where are the little black catsuits for girls to jump around in throwing round house kicks!?

...Why didn't SHE get her own movie, huh!???


This was Disney, so I'm waiting to them to try and princess-cize her somehow; in the meantime, the best they can do is ignore that she could hold her own; not just against men, but super-powered ones.
