Nice house and a reasonable offering price, considering the neighborhood and what comes with the place. I'll bet it goes pretty close to the ask.

But...where are the photos of the underground hydroponics area? You know, to grow some, err,
special plants?

It's been on the market for well over a year.

I agree with Sue.
You can spend that much money in the Bay Area and get a lot less. Geez, a house that size, with a pool, and 11 acres of Marin real estate....Not to mention the history....
That could well go for over asking price....

Sweet shower! Being OCD, it would drive me mad - unless the live-in maid cleaned every spot off the glass daily.

It's a steam room.

Steam rooms are not saunas, most people know the difference. I very much enjoy both, but prefer saunas.

I adore saunas, but don't enjoy steam rooms nearly as much. They are very different creatures.

Indeed, they are complete opposites...
I also really enjoy saunas....
I sometimes have trouble breathing in steam rooms and generally cant take them for too long...

Sorry; I've seen showers like that in hotels.
Anyway, same issue with a steam room. Water drops on the glass.

The heating unit appears to be a sauna heater.

Condensed water vapor from either a sauna or a steam room probably won't leave water drops. Water drops are produced when solids dissolved in the water are left. Portland water was very soft and didn't leave minerals. The local water is very hard and deposits like crazy. Spraying with vinegar is a cheap way of reducing the problem w/o a lot of work. Spray, wait, spray, wait and then a light scrub will knock a lot of it down. You can also squeegee the glass/tile after each use but I'm way too lazy for that.

Just don't shower, I doubt if Jerry did.

Having looked again closely, I'm going to agree, the heater does look like a sauna heater, though the unit looks more like a steam room.

Those benches look uncomfortable for either. But its a custom home, you can do anything you want to pay for.

If I had Jerry's $$$$$$$$$$ I'd tear that souless and sterile dump down and replace it will a killer Geodesic (sp?) Dome house.
I believe that is more of a proper tribute to Jerry's eclectic tastes.
