I have recently got into this after last years fiasco in which a fat middle aged woman who served up raw food could win this title!!

Thank god Adam won last night...had that spotty oik won I would have been sincerly pissed off...he was inconsistent which is never a good thing in a chef!! Adam was innovative,consistent his invention tests always inspiring. The fact his food wasn't always geared to the western pallate intrigued me. I have just one grumble as a chef some of the challenges are way out there. The V8 cake...six hours??...fuck me I would have struggled as much as they did. The chef that bought the cake in admitted his pastry chefs all contribute to making the one cake and all make the layer or part they excel at then they piece the cake together...which is how it would work in a "normal kitchen". To make them do something that complex is unkind really!

Last nights dessert was incredible....and inventing that is a gastronomic masterpiece. I shall attempt at some stage to replicate it.

I will be interested to see Junior Masterchef - kinda pisses all over Jamie Olivers ideals where kids and food are concerned if nothing else!

Wil we be seeing hatch on it?

Hopefully, but not this Junior edition, maybe on the adult series in a couple of years time.

We love Masterchef here, the nights will be long and empty without it. Adam was a good winner, thanks god some of the others fell.

I wouldn't have minded Alvin "romp in a king sized bed" winning, or Courtney the lezza.

I am lost without my Masterchef fix. Lost I tell you ... and it isn't even 7:30 pm tonight!

God knows what I will do to get my mind off it. Probably eat too much.

She reminds me of someone/thing from a horror movie and I just can't put my finger on it!

We're on Celeb Masterchef here in the UK at the moment, though "Celebrity" isn't really the right word for the barrel scrapings they're using.

Still love it though!

That's how we first got hooked on the program Daisy, we caught an episode of the "sleb" version.

It had an Aussie cricketer in it, so I wanted to watch him drop things

It also had the "biggest looser" female trainer in it, so that was of interest obviously.

Great show though.

I love it, love, it, love it.

Now that it is off ... I miss it, miss it, miss it.

I can't wait for the Kiddie-winky version, though Sleb's would do for me as well.
