When was the last time...
When was the last time...
... you went so long without a shower that you couldn't stand your own funk?
for me it was 30 minutes ago. Though in my defense it was partly due to a "gap" in insurance coverage (I have coverage I just don't have the card to prove it) and I ran out of my meds so for the last week I've been rocking a pretty serious depression (though it's only been a few days since I showered).

Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: When was the last time...
The last time ...? Well, I go on missions, but that's not necessarily, voluntarily non-hygienic.
Two words: Baby wipes, and/or cleansing clothes.

Re: When was the last time...

Have you tried St. John's Wort? An over the counter, herbal remedy, that has a good reputation.
Re: When was the last time...
Haven't been on a real expedition for years now.
Hope you get your meds soon C-P.

I'm going to call the pharmacy tomorrow and see if they can work with me until I get my new card.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: When was the last time...
Best of luck mate.
Can you explain in simple terms, to a foreigner, what has gone wrong for you in terms of getting your script?
Here and the UK you get a script, you go to the pharmacy, you get your meds.

Re: When was the last time...
Right now I could easily fill the script I have If I wanted to pay full price (between $175 and $275 for a months supply) Needless to say that's a bit steep for any pocketbook. If I'm lucky I can get medicare rate from the pharmacy. (Which is about $75 iirc) otherwise it's pay full price and hope I can get reimbursement out of the insurance Co.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: When was the last time...
How odd it is to me that you can afford to go gambling but can't afford your medicine.
Re: When was the last time...
could it be that it wouldn't do much for my mood to pay $10 a day for a pill?

"Between $175 and $275 for a months supply," jesus that's steep!
Here you'd pay $80-$95 for regular SSRI, or $5.40 if unemployed/benefit claimant. The UK has a flat prescription rate of £7.20, or totally free for pensioners etc.
Edited to add;
Who is entitled to get free prescriptions in England and Scotland?
* If you are aged 60 or over.
* If you are under 16.
* If you are aged 16, 17 or 18 and in full-time education.
* If you are pregnant, or have had a baby in the previous 12 months, and have an exemption certificate (see below).
* If you have a listed medical condition and have an exemption certificate (see below).
* If you are an NHS in-patient.
* If you (or your partner) gets one of the following:
o Income Support.
o Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance.
o Income-related Employment and Support Allowance.
o Pension Credit Guarantee Credit.
* If you are entitled to, or named on, a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate.
* Some war pensioners - if treatment is connected with the pensionable disability.
* People on a low income who have a certificate HC2
What is the PBS Safety Net?
If you or your family need a lot of medicines in a year, the Safety Net helps you with the cost of your medicines. Once you or your family reach a Safety Net threshold, you can apply for a PBS Safety Net card—then your PBS medicine will be less expensive or free† for the rest of the calendar year.
† If you choose a more expensive brand of medicine, or your doctor prescribes one, you may need to pay more.
How much will I pay for my PBS medicine from 1 January 2010?
General patients up to $33.30 †
Concession card holders $5.40 †
DVA $5.40 †
If you have a Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) White Card for specific conditions and your medication is for those conditions you will pay $5.40, otherwise you pay the general amount.

I'm on a med that hasn't gone generic (here) yet. (Cymbalta)

Re: When was the last time...
Medication doesn't have to have gone generic in the UK or Aus to get the reduced rates.

If we had a supply at work i could mail you some, but it's not one of the ones we stock.
Hang about here?

Some one is ripping you off a treat!!!11. What does duloxetine cost?
Most medicines prescribed by your doctor are covered by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. This means that the Australian Government pays part of the cost of your medicine.
You will need to pay the full price if the medicine is not available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme, or is not available on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme for your specific condition.
At the time of publication, the cost of a normal prescription through the PBS was:
* $31.30 for people without a concession card
* $5.00 for concession card holders.
The full cost to the Australian Government of each duloxetine 60 mg prescription is $49.99, which is slightly higher than most other antidepressants. If you are prescribed duloxetine through the PBS, you pay only the cost of a normal prescription, and the Australian Government pays the rest.
Each prescription lasts 28 days, and you can get up to 5 repeats of duloxetine 60 mg.

Glad to hear someone gives a f's sake for ya [meds]!

Well it does not seem to be doing much for your mood to NOT pay the $10 a day for the pill. Depressed to the point of not bathing? Time to pay for the pill. Isn't your wife an NP? Tell her to find some samples for you. Or call the prescriber and ask for samples. I know folks who subsist on samples.....
Re: When was the last time...
tried the sample route unfortunately no luck. Now HMO (hiving now given me the card #s) is refusing to cover the prescription. Though the wold give me another sight unseen. and unprescribed.

Re: When was the last time...
Another option is call the prescriber with a list of the $4 generics from Walmart and ask if any would be a suitable substitute.
