I was enjoying myself at a celebratory luncheon at work last week - we got a big job - and happened to sit across from one of the few attractive young females in our company. When the time came for our table to go to the buffet I was surprised to see how tall this girl was. She looked to be around 5'9". I'd have never guessed that on seeing her seated.
Then I looked down, and she was wearing shoes that added at least 6" to her height. The front of the shoe was more than an inch thick, and the heel was at least 6" higher.
What the fuck?
What, exactly, is the purpose of this footwear, other than to pretend that you are taller than you actually are?
These shoes CANNOT be comfortable, and are unsafe to boot. God help her if she would have to run for a few strides, or walk in dirt or grass. And it's not like this was a "dressy" occasion; it was "casual Friday" and she was wearing bluejeans.
If a man tried a similar form of deception, he would be sent off to a shrink.
Again, what the fuck?

I think most of us, including most (all?) women, already knew this (though we may not have known the scientific terminology for it).
