Gay clubs are normally good for E;'s and amphetamines..

urghhh trips are terrible...LSD was never a favourite of mine....I took it once and ended up thinking I saw Bertie bassett (licquorice allsorts man) in a club and trying to find him to chat him up the entire friggin night.....then after going back to the car I was Farrah Fawcett from Charlies Angels i swear I had the hair, clutch handbag the lot..I was crawling commando style amongst the cars in a multi story carpark!!

Never did it again

@w, I would suggest you befriend an anesthesiologist and get yourself access to some really good stuff. ;)

That's the thing, I've tried dope but heavy drugs were never my thing either. I quit pot long ago, and fortunately the kid was gone from the home when my alcoholism got bad.

I'm managing better these days, while I've admitted it to the roomie, he says the rest of family doesn't notice it.

Me neither, nor have I ever used or bought and I am perfectly happy foregoing those experiences.

Uh, well, yeah I just rememberer that I do know someone who used to use (an old boyfriend I am still friends with, and I posted about their impact on him at the old place), but he claims he no longer does. Not that I believe anything he says at this point, so there, I do know someone who in all likelihood uses drugs.

Neither of you knows anyone who even smokes a little marijuana once in a while? (Setting aside Guinevere's former boyfriend.) I find that astonishing.

Beat me too it there Andrew.

We all know people who use/enjoy/indulge in (illicit) recreational drug use, sometimes we just don't know that they do.

And of course, in saying we do not know anyone who does, we are excluding tobacco and alcohol from the "drug" category.

I seem to know people who used to use it.

Actually I was having a brain fade on the topic. I have a brother who is heavily into drugs and has been from a very early age. I don't really have anything to do with him for a variety of reasons. I saw him about 2 weeks ago for the first time in at least a decade. I don't think he has 2 brain cells left that work.

He could probably find whatever I wanted.

Pass, till I am 90.

Back when I did forensic chemistry we had a schedule 1 license. We could buy, make, and possess, drugs which doctors could not prescribe.

The only reason I have ever found to not tell the truth to the hatch was when she asked if Santa was real or me.

I replied he was real.

Well, he is real. He is really me for her in this case. :)

She knows now, but we do not talk of my Santa impersonation fantasies. (I think she thinks that if it is discussed, it vanishes. Bless.)
Bah!

Well, my new neighbor three doors down has a son who generally smells of pot, but he's a fine boy otherwise.

I really truly don't. And I've got not a single friend (or family member) who smokes ciggies either (although I do know people who smoke -- mostly the support staff at work).

I know people who are currently still taking MJ both smoking and ingesting in baked goods.

The last time I personally smoked a joint was at my fathers funeral same reaction from me then as it always has had on me whether smoked as a roll up or in a bong - absolutely no effect whatsoever :shrug it tastes like scented tobacco and thats about it so I've stuck to my fags.

I'm a nicotine addict, a heavy daily user (2 packs) no matter how strong the pot I still prefered my fags whenever I did smoke pot all it did was have me light up a cigarette to get the nicotine hit that I hadn't gotten from the bong/joint.

In my "youth" I knew a couple of real addicts of the harder stuff - watching what it did to them and being around one in particular who had a serious problem with drugs was enough to swear me off any more serious experimentation for life.

I have always been honest with my son, and asked the same in return, if he was going to experiment I wanted to know about it so that if anything went wrong or became a problem we knew what we were dealing with and could help. I know he tried both cigarettes and pot and hated both, he's also a lightweight drinker - doesn't like beer or larger or cider & tends to stick to alcopops or vodka drinks.

Nope - just doesn't like the taste of beer etc. always has been a fussy eater/drinker  he also prefers to remain aware of everything going on around him he's seen his mates shitfaced rather a lot and it doesn't impress him or make him feel like he wants to be the same as them - he's very much his own man.

I'm sorry, I'm Welsh, that doesn't make any sense to me.

Hey - rube.

Are you familiar with this man?
