I don't think many people would begrudge being wished "Happy Holidays," since, regardless of your religious views, T'giving and X-mas are holidays.

"Merry Christmas," to a non-Christian? A minor irritation, perhaps, but hardly persecution.

That's a good point dgs. (That was a chance in a million as my 11 year old son said when he accidentally brushed against his 13 year old sister's breast).

"Did someone wish you a Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah/Joyous Ramadan/whatever?" should equally be Yes/No = you are not being persecuted. But Scooter's original point stands.
