The Weather
This may not be a controversial point, but is anyone outside the Ohio River Valley aware that it is been raining here, more or less continuously, for about three months?
At this moment (Friday afternoon) there is no rain falling and there is even a blue spot or two up in the sky, but it has rained every day for the past week, and there is at least a possibility of rain every day after tomorrow (Saturday is the lone bright spot in the long-range forecast), for as far out as the forecasters are willing to opine. They are saying that this will last until at least July.
Moreover, this past Winter was, from a temperature standpoint, the most oppressive winter in recent memory. I don't believe many records were broken because we didn't see many severely frigid days, but the temperature dropped below freezing around Thanksgiving and remained there until the middle of April. This is VERY unusual in this area. Usually, there are occasional days in the 50's every couple weeks for the entire period from December through the first of April.
OTOH, we missed a lot of the severe snowfalls that plagued the eastern seabord and areas surrounding us to the West and North.
The people who are experiencing flooding on the Mississipi and its tributaries had better get used to it. All of our rainwater in Western PA ends up in the gulf of Mexico.
This really sucks. On the rare days when you get a respite you MUST cut the grass and do other outside work, because the opportunities are so rare.

Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?
Re: The Weather
You are in for a bit of a shock when you come down then. If we are lucky here it reaches your overnight minimum for a day temperature.
It has been averaging around -2 to -4 celsius overnight for the past three weeks. It has been ranging up to 15 on a good day, but usually around 14 with a strong wind off the Snowies.
Does Pudd had slippers, warm jambes and a dressing gown? You, I am not so concerned about.

Re: The Weather
Well it has been raining like a cow pissing on a flat rock around here and as much as I like the rain I sincerely hope it stops soon. Enough is Enough already.

I expect to go straight to hell...........at least I won't have to spend time making new friends.

Of course if it's going to be chilly out, he'll need to bring his full length faux fur....

All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
