Yeah Sean, sometimes he does, sometimes he doesn't....

But I don't think it's really because he's embarrassed....

More like he'd rather slither on to something else...

And it's not consistent....

When he screwed the pooch completely misreading those stats about murder rates in Norway, he slithered away fairly quickly....

And when, after calling me a liar and taunting me to produce a link proving that he had said that I wanted my daughter to get "knocked up" so I could call her a "slut or a whore" after I did so, he shut up and slithered away from that one pretty quickly....

On the other hand, look at that bizarre performance he put on, insisting over and over and over, that he couldn't see any accusation of a lie in that article I posted about Krugman....(he even kept insisting I had posted no link to Krugman's original article, after I had done so four times....)

And I'm sure that you, (and I, and many others here) could come with other examples of where in some cases he seems to dimly grasp that he's making himself look like a complete idiot, and in other cases doesn't seem to understand when that's happening at all...

Ahh...

You know, as I've been typing this, I think I've come up with the explanation....

Yes, rube is in fact capable of being embarrassed...

The problem is, that he is too preternaturally stupid to grasp every time he should be embarrassed...

When to an even slightly less intrinsically stupid person, it would be glaringly obvious....

That explains why he catches some things he ought to be embarrassed about, and slithers away from them, but others he returns to over and over again, to be smacked repeatedly like a kiddie clown punching bag....

The funny thing is, the situations where he does figure out he's made a complete fool out of himself versus the ones where he doesn't, seem to be pretty much at random....

It's not like they exist on a scale of progressively more blatant stupidity, and he catches the most blatant, and some that are marginally less blatant pass him by....

Many of the situations where he should have been embarrassed enough to wander away from the discussion but didn't, are every bit as blatant as some where he did manage to some how summon up the brain power to realize it was time to head for the exit....

What is an autism spectrum disorder?
Different people with autism can have very different symptoms. Health care providers think of autism as a “spectrum” disorder, a group of disorders with similar features. One person may have mild symptoms, while another may have serious symptoms. But they both have an autism spectrum disorder.

What are the symptoms of autism?
The main signs and symptoms of autism involve problems in the following areas:
Communication - both verbal (spoken) and non-verbal (unspoken, such as pointing, eye contact, and smiling)
Social - such as sharing emotions, understanding how others think and feel, and holding a conversation
Routines or repetitive behaviors (also called stereotyped behaviors) - such as repeating words or actions, obsessively following routines or schedules, and playing in repetitive ways
The symptoms of autism can usually be observed by 18 months of age.
There are many possible red flags for autism - behaviors that may be signs or symptoms of autism. Some features may mean a delay in one or more areas of development, while others may be more typical of autism spectrum disorders. If you think your child shows red flags for autism, talk to your health care provider.

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

"What I see (usually) are people pretending they are enjoying themselves. it is very rare you ever see anyone 'actually' enjoying themselves in porn."

Nonsense. The female orgasms may be faked, but to say they are not enjoying themselves is absurd.

Consider: "Real" actors are only pretending to do what is seen on the screen. Porn actors (and actresses) are actually doing what is seen on screen (except for the so-called, "soft porn" if it exists any more).

Another tread discussed the supposed "pain scale" here we may discuss the imaginary "porn scale" and are orgasms really faked.
