If he wasn't on duty, and wasn't wearing his uniform or anything that indicated he was a transit employee, it seems to me he'd have pretty good grounds for a law suit. He wasn't violating any laws.

The really stupid thing here, is that the Transit Authority has brought considerably more attention to this and the fact that the guy who burned the Koran was an employee of theirs, than if they hadn't fired the guy.

But the good news, regarding all the incidents in this thread, is that they've attracted considerably less publicity than that idiot down in Florida. It's a shame he wasn't treated the same way.
