As I said earlier, I don't approve of what Daniels did, (public officials cannot be a law unto themselves) but I have no trouble distinguishing between her and the scumbags at the WBC on the vileness scale...

Jim--while I would agree with you based on what WBC does (or has done) at military funerals; I don't see picketing her place of business or house (which it appears is all they are doing) as particularly vile, and certainly no less vile than using a public trust position to deny some you disagree with their legal rights.

yeah, I don t have much trouble deciding which of them is the most vile....

a confused woman attempting to make an ill advised and ill informed stand, or a really scary bunch of hate filled fruit cakes.

are the Westboro folks affiliated with the group in new York who beat their kid to death recently?

Personally, I see the actions of a government employee who is there solely to serve the public discriminating against someone because (s)he personally doesn't approve of that person or something that person is doing as a much bigger problem than a bunch of jerks picketing as private citizens; both are likely filled with hate and idiocy, but I hold the government to a higher standard.
