-> Sanctions taken against Chaplains who continue to teach that sodomy is sinful,

-> Demands for conversion of "undesirable" discharges in past years,

-> Demands for "reparations" for those so discharged,

-> Door open to inevitable claims of discrimination against those who are, and who may be perceived to be, gay.

Et cetera.

BTW, I had a gay drill sergeant (African-American) at Ft Jackson in 1968. My best friend in Vietnam was a gay Master Sergeant (medical corps). He reached grade E8 when he was 32 years old and was as close to being "out" as possible, without actually wearing dresses. The other NCO's hated him with a passion.

I haven't heard many, if any Chaplains preaching much of anything to do with sodomy. There are more pressing issues.

Hetro service members can't claim full dependent status of Boyfriends or girlfriends; only spouses, children and dependent elderly.

As for past discharges, I don't think those can reversed since they were technically legal at the time. A grandfather clause would have to also be instated.
