Koran burner not welcome in UK

Koran-protest pastor Terry Jones may be banned from UK

Mr Jones had said the burning would be a stand against terrorism

Home Secretary Theresa May has said she will be "actively looking at" whether a controversial US pastor should be banned from entering the UK.

But Terry Jones, who threatened to burn copies of the Koran on this year's 9/11 anniversary, says he "definitely" plans to visit the UK.

He has been invited to the UK to share his views on Islam at an English Defence League (EDL) rally in February.

Ms May told Sky News that Mr Jones had "been on her radar for a few months".

She said she had the power as home secretary to exclude an individual from coming to the UK if she considered they were not conducive to the public good or threatened national security.

Following her comments, Mr Jones told the BBC he planned to speak against "radical Islam", not "all Islam".

He also said any ban on him coming to the UK would be "incorrect and unfair", and "unconstitutional" in the US.

Unite Against Fascism said it would be holding an anti-racism demonstration, and the anti-extremist group Hope Not Hate is urging the home secretary to act.

I love that bit. Because we all know that the UK is bound by the US constitution...
Why is it that when Miley Cyrus gets naked and licks a hammer it's 'art' and 'edgy' but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and 'banned from the hardware store'?

Besides which, if the situation were reversed, the twit doesn't realize that he would NEVER be admitted to the U.S.

What are they afraid of?

Your collective inability to acknowledge this obvious truth makes you all look like fools.

Offending the Muslims that plague their country and touching off the typical Islamic response of an orgy of violence, probably.

Another twist in the tale;
Terry Jones, who threatened to burn copies of the Koran earlier this year, was invited to speak at an English Defence League (EDL) rally in Luton.

The home secretary was considering banning Mr Jones from entering the UK.

But a spokesman for the EDL confirmed the invitation to Mr Jones had been withdrawn because of his critical views on homosexuality and race.
