this is part of a masonic plot; look at the imagery--the all-seeing eye and the pyramid, on the throne, both masonic. Is it a plot to denigrate god and compare him to a dog (making jesus a son of a dog--the Philippine president would like that), or do the masons know something we don't?

Getoveryourself; many of us do not have the obligation to your religious principles that you do and we are every bit as good people as you.
God bites way fucking more often than dogs do, anyway. Millions upon millions of children in all kinds of horrific ways.

First, it's not true that all dogs are joyful, loving and eternally forgiving.
Second, that was my reaction having nothing to do with religion or God or anything else. Since the cartoon is funny but not based upon any factuality (and I assume the human in it is a Mormon anyway

), this doesn't bother me.
Third, humans bite millions upon millions of children. This is a fallen world, imperfect, and bad things happen to all manner of persons (and dogs). If you prefer to believe it is all without meaning and redemption, if you like it that all those children are just lost and gone, then that's your preference.
Fourth, "every bit as good as me" - indeed and many better. But what kind of sensitive nerve was struck there? Was I even claiming any kind of superiority in my goodness or commenting upon the moral or behavioral value of any other person? Did I even complain that it was wrong to make cartoons about religion? Did I even hint at religious principles? No.

God bites BSG? I figure a guy as old as him wouldn't have any teeth.

Well, I'm a religious believer, and I don't see any way that cartoon could be seen as religiously offensive...it just expresses a sweet sentiment...
Meade, I have a suggestion:
Why don't you and rube start a joint thread devoted to vicious biting dogs and debilitating football head injuries, so you'll have a place to post about them without tossing your observations on the subjects into light-hearted threads?

So Ceasar Millan is like the dog Pope or Dalai Lama, bringing canines back into the fold.

As a mature adult she may retain some generalized fear of dogs but she will likely resent the feckless human who failed to control that dog or protect her from it more than the dog itself.
