The Bible... Condensed

Post by RayThom »

With limited reading of the bible except for the Douay–Rheims version I'm wondering how close this quick interpretation might be.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

They could have at least mentioned Hosea begins with the worst marriage advice ever. Really!

For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Just remember that Rahab was a biblical heroine and (some say) ancestor of Jesus.

Well she was a heroin because she knew when to switch sides, and her experience as a prostitute made her pragmatic at the very least. Now whether she is the Rachab in Matthew 1:5 (one of the "begats"), who knows? But when you look that this is the lineage of joseph who was not Jesus' biological father, I guess it really doesn't make that much of a difference.
