Oh those tolerant evangelicals; they'll accept anything so long as it isn't homosexuality or other people's daughters having abortions.

Praise Bill Clinton, liberal principles are slowing winning; eventually, the world will be filled with Bill Clintons. :(
I expected to be placed in an air force combat position such as security police, forward air control, pararescue or E.O.D. I would have liked dog handler. I had heard about the dog Nemo and was highly impressed. “SFB” is sad I didn’t end up in E.O.D.

I know that like almost everything else around it is about trump. Even if I hadn’t known it Trump is always a good guess at least on this site.

But, trump is not my god and I was trying to make it relevant to the liberal here of course not all liberals. Believe or not there are actually liberals that are Christians. Can you believe that?
At any rate in general Clinton is the liberal’s gods. He can do no wrong; if he rapes a woman it is a good raping. Don’t you remember when Clinton was in office, there were liberal women willing to go down for bill? Why else would liberals go down on their knee in front him unless they were worshiping him?

You're still maintaining that Bill Clinton was a liberal? this is the man who signed who Welfare Reform Act, cut taxes after his tax increase that generated a surplus and paid down the deficit (not to mention current expenses), got us involved in the Balkans, singed the Defense of marriage Act... Hardly a liberal, and certainly not a god.

sure, he had some on the left who supported him (especially against the republican candidates), but most held their noses and voted for the lesser of two evils.

A big liberal god.

Liberty thinks anyone left of Mussolini is a “liberal”
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

Are you starting to reject your god? You do know you will go to liberal hell for that.

What is that old liberal mantra, “two steps forward and one step back”.

If the liberals recognized a ‘god’ of their politics, it would be Franklin Delano Roosevelt, not Slick Willie. At least on social issues he was the closest thing to a democratic socialist we’ve ever had.

Stop falsely declaring that liberals all love Clinton - it simply isn’t true.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Can you really say the country is not going to hell. Trump might improve the economy for a while but the trend is downward and I see nothing to change that. It is just a matter of time and we will lose our independence and we will be lucky if it is the Russians. I would choose the Russians any day over the Chinese. At least with the Russians our children can hide in the herd.

But don’t worry nothing will happen while trump is in office. If we are attacked, he will use nukes and no one has any doubts about that.

That's so comforting to know.

then so be it; I'd rather reign in hell...

But face it, much as you'd like, no one on the left would call Bill a liberal, let alone a god. Yes, he had a lot of support because of his stance on abortion, but that was the only issue he ever really was consistent, and one issue does not an ideologue make.

I posted this in the "Trump is serious" thread, but methinks it fits better here...

And that's the Sound of Silence.

Very prophetic... almost gospel.

One would hope he could also emulate Richard Corey:

"So my mind was filled with wonder when the evening headlines read:
"Richard Cory went home last night and put a bullet through his head."

then, with apologies to S & G:

Jubilation
The nightmare is done
I fall on the floor and I'm laughing

Well maybe this meeting is all a ruse so that Lord Dampnut will get the same warm VX greeting that Kim Jong-nam received at Kuala Lumpur International Airport a year ago. Maybe Kim Jong-un is preparing to "fall on his sword" for the honor of his people.

As Drumpf always says, "who knows, we'll see and when we see we just might know by seeing. It may happen but then again it may not. We'll know soon though, but we might not."

I don’t get it. I know you are talking about Trump, but you are using Richard Cory as metaphor for trump. In the poem, Cory was a good guy; his only sin was being rich in a time of extreme poverty. I think he killed himself because he was depressed by the suffering he saw around him.
