That's fucked Mel's movie...Pope Exonerates Jews
By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
VATICAN CITY (AP) — In a new book, Pope Benedict XVI makes a sweeping exoneration of the Jewish people for the death of Jesus Christ.
In excerpts from the book, “Jesus of Nazareth — Part II,” that were released on Wednesday, Benedict explains there is no basis in Scripture for the argument that the Jewish people as a whole were responsible.
Elan Steinberg of the American Gathering of Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants said the pope’s argument struck at the “foundation of anti-Semitic persecution.”

Fairy tale takes dramatic twist!
Fairy tale takes dramatic twist!
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

Very little....A little joke -- a jokelet,
Microscopic, in fact...

Re the topic:
Frankly I was somewhat surprised when I saw this on the news yesterday....
I thought that this had been formally addressed back in the early 60's in Vatican II.....

I guess I should actually follow the links and read the articles before posting:
Okay, so the Pope was not enunciating a new Church doctrine, just making a personal observation for the purpose of emphasizing the point. (This is what I kind of suspected was probably the case)The Second Vatican Council made a similar declaration in 1965. But Benedict is the first pope to personally do so, and Jewish scholars said Wednesday that his arguments were a milestone attack on the “foundation of anti-Semitic persecution.”
Well then, good for him.
