The meaning / purpose of? Yes.
That it happens? not so much.
Debating it's philosophical merit? Yep.

Fine. I'll get Gob to move the topic.
Then I won't have to argue about which forum itngoes in.
Better yet ... I'll remove it.
I shouldn't have posted it in the first place.

Dear folks, please excuse this thread. It shouldn't have been posted. I was just upset at the time.

Honestly, Hen, you are obviously upset about this and rightfully so. Untimely death has a way of taking one off their square. No need to apologize.
And hey, what better place to vent than here?

Didn't mean to upset you Hen Chalk it up to my gallows humor combined with lack of sleep due to My son's teething. I actually spent about a half a minute swiping my ID badge at a doorstop wondering why it wouldn't unlock the door this morning. You can't imagine the horror when I became aware of exactly what I was doing.

Thanks Timster and ... No worries Crackpot.
I shouldn't share the pain. It won't help Sylvia. There is no way to make her feel better ... or give me a practical way to help.
I am just a bit touchy about the last point, because I would really like to make something better for her and that is, for all purposes, impossible.

I know how you feel. I was in a similar situation when a dear friends aunt and uncle died in a murder suicide thing. the inability to come up with something to say or do in contrast of the tragedy of the situation makes you feel rather impotent.

Without knowing anything, I am guessing something bad/sad happened in Hens world and for this I am sorry Hen.

Cheers oldr.
I was rather raw at the time and too emotional about the issue. I shouldn't have posted about it then and I shouldn't post about it now.
It concerned the husband of a work colleague killed in a work relate accident.

Fred's funeral is today. My thoughts (and most of the Department) are with Sylvia.
Unfortunatley my local pollies are sitting today and I get to listen to them whilst they speak.
Bless you Sylvia, bless you Fred.
