Went to Mexico a few weeks ago and without thinking I had a soft drink with ice (hielo).
Got The Disease almost immediately - cramps, the big D, the whole nine yards.
Here I am two weeks later, having had large quantities of Pepto Bismol, Immodium, and as much fiber-rich food as I could tolerate, and my digestive system is still in a pickle.
I'm thinking that maybe "pro-biotics" might help or yogurt with pro-biotics.
Most people say that this is like a cold and must run its course (and will eventually go away), but Jesus. Do I need to see a doctor or what?
An Unpleasant Topic (Sorry)

Uh, yes, see a doctor two weeks ago to make sure you don't have something not run of mill.
Re: An Unpleasant Topic (Sorry)
I agree with Long Run. Two weeks seems like a long time for a bout of Montezuma's revenge. You may have something more severe.
It's time to go see the doctor

Re: An Unpleasant Topic (Sorry)
I think I'm finally getting some resolution.
After talking it over with my pharmacist, I took some "pro-biotics" yesterday (along with the immodium), and at least the stomach rumbling has stopped.
I have been told I may be asked to go to Mexico again next week. If I end up going, you better believe I'll be neurotically careful about what goes into my mouth.
