Home for Random Thoughts
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Yeah, but they come from the same animal, and one would expect that the more fatty parts would cost less...(it used to be that way BTW; it's only been relatively recently that bacon and sausage cost more than pork chops)...
It works that way with hamburger meat; the higher the fat content, (ground sirloin, versus ground round, versus ground chuck) the lower the price per pound...

Hmmm. It seems that I am the only one
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Yep... I guess you are.... although you always have been....

Pork Belly, it's a luxury
Sometimes it seems as though one has to cross the line just to figger out where it is

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
I hate Windows 8. Or perhaps it's Windows 8.1
Either way, they suck.
Either way, they suck.
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
If you start counting all the versions one by one with your fingers, you'll get to the right finger then.I hate Windows 8.
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
I still have Windows XP on my computers...
(In fact I bought a new one about a year ago and paid extra to have the latest and greatest Windows version replaced with XP)
There's a reason that even 11 years after it was originally introduced, that pretty much all new softwares are still made to be compatible with XP...
Despite all the "upgrades" that have followed it, it remains the best, most reliable, and intuitive Windows platform Microsoft has ever produced...

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Vista was terrible and I've heard that 8 is bad, but Windows 7 is very good. You should upgrade to Windows 7 because XP is no longer supported.
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
I've heard much the same as Joe. I've been been thinking on Updating My Bootcamp Volume to Windows 7
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

I've heard the same things as you guys...(not just from articles on the subject, but from friends of mine who have dealt with these platforms)Joe Guy wrote:Vista was terrible and I've heard that 8 is bad, but Windows 7 is very good. You should upgrade to Windows 7 because XP is no longer supported.
That Vista was a disaster, 8 is worse than a disaster, but that 7 wasn't so bad...
I might look at upgrading to 7, but I take issue with the claim that XP isn't "supported"...
My experience has been that XP works quite well...

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
XP is in that zone between becoming "no longer supported" and being completely useless.
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.

You walked right in to that one...

I was out running errands earlier today, and I was so hungry, that I bought a slice of pizza at a 7-11, (they now sell pizza at the 7-11's around here)
and it didn't seem to taste awful...(it wasn't great, but I've had worse...)

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Just watched a really interesting documentary, America Before Columbus....it raised a question in my mind...
Why didn't the South American Indians breed bigger llamas? They were the largest domesticated animal they had, and if they had just bred a slightly larger type, they could have used them for transport, to pull plows, etc.
They understood the concept of breeding; they must have known that if they mated the ones that were a little larger with other bigger ones that over a few generations they could develop a larger animal that would be more useful...

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Because back then they used llamas primarily to pull fire trucks and they never had more than a two L llama fire.
