Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Has anyone else noticed that in recent years, the people who make Post-it have apparently decided to save money by cutting back on the quality of their glue to the point that it is almost impossible to get the notes to stick to anything for more than a few seconds? I use them a lot, and now every time I do, I have to add a piece of tape, (which sort of defeats the whole purpose)
Does anyone know of a better brand of sticky-note? One that actually sticks?

They work fine for me.
You should stop buying those used ones on eBay...

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
You're getting the off brand stuff
Either that or whatever you're trying to stick stuff to needs a good cleaning

Hey, I save so much money buying used underwear on E-Bay, I thought I'd give the Post-it's a try...You should stop buying those used ones on eBay...
It doesn't matter what I try to stick them to; even other pieces of paper, I consistently have the same problem...Either that or whatever you're trying to stick stuff to needs a good cleaning
I'm thinking that maybe the problem is that the one's I've been buying have been kind of old; The last couple of batches I bought I got from the stationary section of the local Lucky's; maybe they don't sell that many, so they've been sitting around a while....

That's could be the reason. They're probably from the 1980's. Lucky Supermarket is not where most people go for office supplies.Lord Jim wrote: I'm thinking that maybe the problem is that the one's I've been buying have been kind of old; The last couple of batches I bought I got from the stationary section of the local Lucky's; maybe they don't sell that many, so they've been sitting around a while....
Those things aren't cheap either. I wish I had invented them.
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
I dunno if the inventor gets any royalties. He worked for 3M and he might have signed them away upon employment (quite common thing to do) .
Aa an ass side...
You do know that Mike Nesmith's (of the Monkees) mother invented "white out" and she made a nice chunk 'o change off that.
I'm trying to invent a non-breakable "Irony Meter" but have had no luck.

For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

No, Airplane wasn't a Mel Brooks vehicle...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080339/
It's a funny coincidence, but I recently read an article about how Leslie Neilson, Lloyd Bridges and Peter Graves regretted making that movie because they couldn't get serious roles again after that...
Neilson went on to make lemons out of lemonade and do a series of low brow comedies, but Bridges' and Graves' careers were pretty much finished...Graves made some commercials and hosted some early Biography Channel series, and Bridges watched his sons become successful....

Re: Home for Random Thoughts
It probably didn't help Peter Graves that one of his most memorable lines in the movie was when he asked a young boy if he had ever seen a grown man naked.
