I was taxed by a sore tummy after eating too many slightly burnt cookies.

The bushes and the clouds in Super Mario Bros are exactly the same - just colored differently
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

The worst controversy is their horses pooping on the street.
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
around thanksgiving I was sitting with my daughter and she asked what my favorite holiday was. I said Christmas.
she asked what my next favorite was, I said 4th of july
she asked my next favorite, and she was expecting thanksgiving, but I said, your birthday
I got a big hug out of that one....
I was just now thinking about that and I remembered something my dad told me when I was just a nipper....
he said "...god, country and family , boy, and in that order..."
strange how things work out
he wasn t an overtly religious man, tho his mom was a rather nutty Baptist type. he was an outlaw in many ways, but he served his country honorably, on an aircraft carrier in the china sea during the missile crisis, and he was a good dad. not much of a husband, but a good dad
"locked in with his gun and a deck of cards, he sailed the seas and became a shark... "
I would not have survived the rough life that I led without the life lessons and lessons about human nature that he taught me
thanks man.

I have a belly full of Indian food, a warm beverage in my hand and hubby and I are about to snuggle up and watch some movies.
Pure bliss.

There's always more to do.
If not, come by my place, I have a "honey do" list AND a "daddy do" list. You can help me with either one.

I think it's proof of middle age that I fast forward past most of the musical artists on SNL.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

I haven't seen the Geico Gecko in months. A bunch of other forgettable stuff is being shown, I guess.Lord Jim wrote:The new Geico Gecko voice SUCKS...![]()
Bring back Jake Wood!
The clerk in the AT&T store is gone, too.
And I don't understand what Flo is doing nowadays.

Have you seen the ads for Verizon's "Go90" streaming content app? God, what a wretched mess.Fafhrd wrote:I haven't seen the Geico Gecko in months. A bunch of other forgettable stuff is being shown, I guess.Lord Jim wrote:The new Geico Gecko voice SUCKS...![]()

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
SNL still does great political humor. Their cold opens during this season have been spot on and very funny. Not cutting edge funny, but still funny.
As for the show, it's been a bit millennial-esque, but last night was a good one. Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Bruce. The show closed with his classic Santa Claus is Coming to Town (and some dude from the audience joined in, too):
Merry Christmas, all!

GUIN. I'M NOT SURE BUT....
... I think the dude from the audience may have been a plant. The guy sure looks a lot like one of the members of that old '60s English rock band "The Beatles," Paul McCartney. I can understand the confusion, of course, many people think that Paul is dead.Guinevere wrote:...The show closed with his classic Santa Claus is Coming to Town (and some dude from the audience joined in, too):
