Been better if the band I went to see didn't lip sync the whole set. Ugh.

Bell's Palsy. Could be worse my face is barely droopy (with my beard and mustache almost completely unnoticable)and my eye still closes. Still have limited movement all around. Mild as things go and it wasn't something worse (stroke) just have to wait to see how and if it heals.

Ditto!

Why can't streaming services with commercials at least show a variety of advertising? I've been watching a marathon of 48 Hours on CBS streaming and have seen the same two adverts 100+ times. ARGH!!!!!

Yes, I suppose I could agree with you ... but then we'd both be wrong, wouldn't we?

I always thought it was an English invention for one of the kings (likely George III or IV) who stated to his cook "this sauce is A 1" and came to the US much later.

My Brit father was hooked on HP Sauce. I often remember him yelling at my mom when she would go shopping and fail to find a bottle of the stuff. Eventually, whenever he had to use A-1 he would lament not having HP. My father was an odd duck.

Why did our electricity go out at 7pm yesterday and still has not come home by 8 a.m.?

Is it possible that the sewer pipe overflowing in the street from a dozen houses has removed all desire to return?

Come back, electricity! All is forgiven!

It's PAYG, BB. Our little digital meter shows we have 124.7 units remaining.

Nah. Something exploded on the nearby transformer substation thingie - it's about 100m from our house and we heard it go (at 7 p.m.). They began working on it yesterday morning - not a good job to attempt at night and it was back on before noon.

Embarrassing moment at my parent teacher conference. The teacher was showing us some of the "nonsense words" that they use to to teach phonetics. (basically letter combinations that form non-words)

Looking down the list I noticed "quim" I couldn't bring myself to tell her that is was a word and more importantly what it means.
