It's a navel piercing. It's not devil horns tattooed on her forehead, you old fuddy duddies 
If and when she gets bored with it she can quietly retire it with no long term visible marks.
Also never twist a piercing it can drive infection into it. Sea salt soaks and clean any lymph build up with a cotton bud soaked in warm salty water. She's a sensible girl I'm sure she will look after it.
