You are coming up to a stoplight 5 lane road there is one car already stopped in each lane going your direction. One of the cars is a Caddilac the other is a Mercedes.
Which car do you pull up behind?
Why?
Any other examples of daily decisions that are made on purely prejudicial grounds?

I pull up behind the Caddilac because I've never seen one before, and I'd like to get a closer look at it...

My choice would be based on whether I was going to turn left or right in the near future. Other than that I don't think about the type of car I'm going to stop behind.
Is a Caddilac made in Jappan?

If there are flames or copious amounts of smoke pouring from the vehicle, I generally tend to avoid stopping behind them....
I also try to avoid stopping behind cars that have their hoods up....

If they are all forward (no turn) lanes I'd be wondering what idiot put a traffic light on an Interstate Hwy?
If there is a Left turn and Right turn plus 3 lanes I would be wondering what idiot put a Left lane off ramp on an Interstate Hwy?
If I was stuck behind anything with 5 lanes I'd be thinking I hate gridlock.
But to answer yer question I would perfer to be behind the one that wasn't texting, folk that are never notice the light has changed...

Yeah, there's a lot of them that are pretty funny: "I like being My own boss," "There is no practical distinction between the comments section of a web page and the depths of hell," "Seeing is believing. If you went with a BMW and a Subaru Forester then I might have understood what you were asking.

BMW/Lexus/Volvo/Sube out here -- all SUVs of course. No one drives a nice sedan or coupe any more.
My answer is I don't care. I don't avoid cars, only idiot drivers who are weaving all over the road, texting, talking on the phone, reading the newspaper, putting on their makeup, etc.

To answer the question...I'm pretty much with Joe here: if I was going to be turning left soon, I'd get behind whoever was in the left lane; if I was going to turn right, I'd go to the right. Otherwise I'd just stay in whatever lane I happened to be in at the time. The only time I'd change lanes based solely on the vehicle stopped in front of me would be if that vehicle was a large truck.

As for other prejudices, I avoid certain areas due to the higher incidence of crime.
I would call it common sense you may refer to it as prejudice if you like...

Is there supposed to be some prejudice thing here? What? Something to do with the (ahem) hue of people who drive Cadillacs vs people who drive a Mrs. Saydeeze? That's bogus.
Me I pull up behind the Mercedes because it will (most times) accelerate away quicker when the light switches to green. Also it's probably a bit shorter so I'm closer to my destination.
