Home for Random Thoughts
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
For most of my life I've heard the so-called experts say that everyone should buy a used car rather than a new car because it's much more cost effective.
Beware -the experts aren't trying to help you.
They realize that if everybody else only bought used cars, the price of new cars would go down and eventually a new car's price would be lower than a used car's price. Then the experts could buy new cars at lower than used car prices and later sell them to you at a higher price than they paid for the new one.
It's a conspiracy. Don't be fooled.

If everyone followed the advice to have their dogs spayed or neutered, there wouldn't be any mutts left for us to adopt. Kind of odd relying on the irresponsible to maintain the supply of "regular" dogs.

Got a 10-minute flurry earlier...now, the sun is out. (I'm in Merrimack, New Hampshire right now.)Guinevere wrote:No it's going to snow again Saturday and a major snow storm will hit us Tues/Wed. It's not over yet.
I will not be here for the snowstorm, because I go on vacation Monday night!
I just checked the forecast...they're saying clouds moving in Tuesday, then very windy (20 gusting to 35) and a "chance of snow" for Wednesday morning.

Can we instead have politicians spayed or neutered? There are already plenty of crooks in the world, why make more?!Long Run wrote:If everyone followed the advice to have their dogs spayed or neutered, there wouldn't be any mutts left for us to adopt. Is there a graceful way to get out of an adirondak chair?
Okay... There's all kinds of things wrong with what you just said.
Re: Home for Random Thoughts
Yes
Pull yerself forward by the arm rests so that yer posterior is half off the chair, lean forward, push up from the arm rests and stand.
People applaud when I do it, unfortunately I have an inner ear thang and when I bow in gratitude I lose my balance and fall down.
