If we say "trousers" rather than "trouser" because we have two legs, why don't we say "shirts" rather "shirt" since we have two arms?

I'm deeply troubled by this.... :?

Interesting (not). But anyway, the single item is " a pair of trousers" (hence plural) whereas a single shirt is not a "pair of shirts". Evidently "a trouser" is just one leg, whereas "trousers" accounts for clothing both appendages. When you think of it, trousers with no legs at all are not trousers but shorts, pair of. A shirt with no arms is still a shirt, isn't they?

If you can't wash and dry a wool sweater without it shrinking, why aren't sheep strangled after a rain and the sun comes out?

You'd be surprised to know how much sheep shrink when left out in the weather. Sheep raised inside can grow to be twice as large as sheep left outside in the rain and sun.

Before colored sheep were discovered the wool industry must have spent a lot of money on dyes.

That explains why Welsh farmers keep so many as house pets....

or maybe there's a different explanation....

Plan B hasn't had a lot of active poster-peoples lately. It could be that some of us have less time on our hands but it's more likely that we don't have more time on our hands.

Why is bacon (mostly fat) $5.99 a pound (on sale) while pork loin chops (mostly not fat) are $3.99 a pound?

Because if you add put pork loin chops to all other foods, it doesn't make them taste better.

Have you ever heard of pork loin on a cheeseburger? How about pork loin chop wrapped pork chops? Pork loin and sour cream on a baked potato? Spinach & pork loin chop salad?

so now you know....
