Maybe the Cubs winning the World Series in 2016 really was the start of the apocalypse.

Plausible theory.

When a woman gets a vibrator (or two), it's seen as little bit of naughty fun.

But if a man orders the Fuckmaster Pro 5000 life-size silicon doll with real-feel lips, 6-speed pulsating vagina, and the elasticized anus with non-drip semen-collection tray, along with the optional built-in realistic orgasm scream (with 'moaner' or 'panter' options) in a 7.1 hi-def sound system, he's called a pervert.

Not this guy? Surely he's normal?
A bodybuilder who married a sex doll last year claims he is now madly in love with an ashtray - and plans to give it an artificial vagina.

Yuri Tolochko says he has moved on since his devastating split from Margo the doll and is building a new life. The 36-year-old from Kazakhstan made international headlines after tying the knot with doll at a ceremony attended by dozens of guests in November 2020.Image

But the couple have called it a day - and Yuri has a smoking new love interest. The Kazakh muscleman was recently captivated by the ashtray in a club and now hopes to equip it so they can get closely acquainted.

I guess fitting it with an actual organic vagina is not doable.

I didn't know they still made ashtrays. Nowadays it's all vapes and Copenhagen. Of course a woman has a right to chews.

Lars and the Real Girl was not a documentary or a how-to reality show.

I found that video at the Dollar Tree a few months ago and picked it up.  Maybe I should hook up my VCR/DVD player and watch it.

I think I'll seek it out. Thanks for the ref. LR. It looks interesting.

A couple of years back, I was considering possible thematic elements for a story based on Pygmalion and a RealDoll*. Didn't think of anything as sensible as this Lars movie seems to be.

There is no 'D' in the word 'refrigerator' — so why do we add one when we abbreviate the word as 'fridge'?

Perhaps so the i remains short like in ridge, rather than long like in oblige.

Maybe it kinda sorta caught on and stuck around because the first rephrijuraters marketed in the U.S. were made by Frigidaire so people were calling it "Fridge" and spelling it "Frig" might confuse a lot of people into thinking it's a container where you keep frigs and nobody ever needed to store any frigs.

just a randumb thought...

I think the tie to Frigidaire is likely true; for years my dad use to call the refrigerator "the frigidaire".

Re Caligula--the sory I heard is that it was originally filmed (although not completed) as a Roman epic (although a somewhat violent and sexy one), but was later turned into the spectacle it became. I have no doubt that Malcom McDowell had to know what was being done, but other actors like Gielgud and O'Toole did not. It's with the watch form some of the performances, but avoid it if porn and/or graphic violence bothers you.
