Took the pups with me for a walk with the other two dogs this morning. Lovely sunrise.

No red in the morning, so sailors didn't have to take warning.
Nice pictures.
Where's the dogs? :shrug

I wake up at 5am. No sun at that time of day this time of year. Just me having a cigarette and Apollo waiting for the news paper to arrive. it's his job to bring in the newspaper :)

Or maybe he goes to bed way too late? (When I get to see a sunrise, that's usually how it happens.)

And yes, beautiful photographs.

Thanks folks.

The dogs were tied to a fence to stop them pulling me about the reserve when I was trying to take a shot.

Sue, way to early? Me and Hen had been up for a cuppa, and then to the gym for an hour, before I went out taking those shots. :)

Naaaa, was too much light in those shots for it to be *that* early. Sue is just a notorious night owl.

And they are lovely shots -- which I meant to say earlier and my brain froze.

Thanks Guin!

I'm starting to get a handle on the new camera and lens at last. Still will be learning for some time though. The step up from a good amateur camera, to a professional level model is a lot larger than I thought.

While I admire your camera skills and your intent on making them better, might I recommend taking some time to train the dogs? Apollo would not dream of running/pulling unless I told him to do so. Heel and stay are the two most important commands (other than pee and poop outside). Teach them to your dogs. You won't regret it.

Oldr, these are his new pups. I'm sure he will train them -- his last dog was voice command trained.

BTW, I commend you both for taking the time to properly train your dogs. A well-trained dog is a thing of beauty. I love dogs, but far too many people don't bother to train them, and overindulge them. An untrained dog is just annoying.

Best time to train them, but I am sure he knows this. :ok

Ain't that the truth.
lately Apollo has been getting a little "robust" when getting the newspaper in the morning. Either grabbing the paper out of my hand or trying to tear it to shreads if he can grab it from under the fence. Lessons started this moring at 5:30am hopefully the neighbors won't mind. We'll see how quickly he picks up on it. I figure another day or two.

Yeah the pups are learning fast. Already "sit" and "no" are embedded, and they only just made 4 months old. They are walking well on the leash, but as they have only been walked in public less than half a dozen times, it's still a relatively new experience for them.

smell smell smell sniff sniff sniff smell smell smell sniff sniff sniff; repeat forever. :D

Sit, Stay, No and Bad. Four basic commands all dogs need to know.
After that Heel and Come.

But don't forget to have fun with them while they are learning.
