Wave action

Post by Guinevere »

A couple post-storm shots (BTW, this storm impacted us for 5 tides in a row, very atypical, long duration storm):

I prefer the B&W, but was playing with the coloring in the other.

What sharpening method do you use? Post-process or in-camera?

Post-process. Adobe Lightshop.

Do you use the shapening filter? I've been getting amazing results using a "high pass" filter.

Honestly, its in the develop module, uses four sliders to determine how much sharpening you want. I don't have any specific method - I tend to "eye" it.

Edited to add: I'm quite the novice with Lightroom, so I can't really explain any of it yet. I'm still just getting the feel for it, and don't know a lot more than I know.

No worries, I'm learning as I go too. Youtube tutorials are a great help. The 5D has made for an immense learning curve, even in the way I use Photoshop.

I'm guessing "taking film to be developed" has taken on a whole new meaning.
