AIG has announced that it will not join the lawsuit brought by some of its shareholders against the US government arising out of the bailout to which it agreed, which it received, and which it has paid back to the US government with interest.
As discussed in another thread, AIG had a legal (fiduciary) duty to consider those shareholders' request that it join their lawsuit. AIG fulfilled that duty. And AIG took, by the standards of huge-corporation proceedings, no time at all to tell those shareholders to stuff it.
