What message did Sarah Palin send to her CPAC ’13 audience Saturday, and thence to the world, by sipping from a Big Gulp soda during her speech and, in conclusion, brandishing it as if it were a trophy? Oh, I know what message she intended to send: Don’t tell us real Americans how to live our lives. We’ll decide what’s best for ourselves and our children. Stop treading on our liberty.
But that’s not the message Palin sent. Amazingly for someone who still must harbor some kind of desire for a second act in American politics, the message Sarah Palin sent was this: Republicans will start winning elections again by telling Americans they should be proud of acting stupid.
When I was in school, there was a lot of talk about population groups (classified by gender, ethnicity, class, income, etc.) not performing as well as they could academically because society — in some cases, other members of the population group — sent them the message that they must be stupid because they were poor or women or black. I think there’s something to that, people are affected a lot by what society tells them to think of themselves. And I think it probably is happening to conservatives today, to some extent.
Math is hard, let’s go drink big gulps.

Maybe she'll fire up a Marlboro and really show those liberals a thing or two!
Bloomberg was stupid for trying to legislate the sizes of sodas. And were those size calculated with ice or without ice? Sarah Palin was making fun of stupid legislation. Time could be spent better. You want to educate the public about health matters, that's fine, but to spend all these elected leaders and courts time on saying you can't sell something of a specific size is just stupid.
And now he want cigarettes placed behind curtains or under the counter. Next no potatoe chips or pretzels on display. I guess beer nuts are ok?
Never should have changed the "two term" limit.

Already done that down under.

That's what I've seen in stores around here that sell cigarettes. People have to request cigarettes and the clerk gets them from behind the counter. I don't know whether it is a law or if they're just trying to prevent theft.
I just love good looking, vapid, airheads and I'd definitely like to have an hour meet-and-greet with her -- if I could afford what she's asking, of course.
By the way, I feel she'd make a wonderful POTUS, and pound for pound, probably the best Repug candidate out there for a shot in the next general election.
Sarah Palin /John Boner... 2016.

Sarah Palin: "She's building the future." This reminds me of the slickly edited, mind control vid that was watched just before the people were turned into Soylent Green.
I can only pray she runs again. Once the Repugs get their ass handed to them again they'll finally realize that drastic changes must be made to the party. Obviously, they are on a very slow learning curve.
