People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

A good pun goes best when you don't faucet
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts
Re: Ben Carson knows how People become Gay
Carson is a scientist, this would seem an utterly reasonable way of proving his assertions:
Dan Savage tells Republican to ‘prove’ sexuality is a choice by ‘sucking my d**k’
Dan Savage has issued a challenge to Republican Ben Carson to back up his claims that sexuality is a choice.
Fox pundit Ben Carson, who is a rumoured Republican presidential candidate, said earlier this week that prisons prove being gay is “absolutely” a choice.
He said: “Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight and when they come out, they’re gay. So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”
In his weekly column, advice columnist Dan Savage attacked Dr Carson – who has since tried to walk back his remarks – and issued a challenge to him.
He wrote: “Dear Dr. Carson,
“If being gay is a choice, prove it. Choose it. Choose to be gay yourself.
“Show America how that’s done, Ben, show us how a man can choose to be gay. Suck my dick.
“Name the time and the place and I’ll bring my dick and a camera crew and you can suck me off and win the argument.
“Very sincerely yours, Dan Savage”
Unsurprisingly, Dr Carson is yet to reply.

Re: Ben Carson knows how People become Gay
To me the strongest argument against homosexuality being a "choice" has been a pretty obvious one...
Given the enormous historical record across numerous societies for hundreds of years, of gay people being persecuted, shunned, and condemned...
Having to live secretly in the shadows, in earlier times risking death or imprisonment and in later times disgrace, professional ruin, blackmail, etc....
Why on earth would anyone have "chosen" to run those risks and live in that sort of fear if it were just as easy to "choose" avoiding it?

There you go, being reasonable again. You'll never get to be President that way...

Re: Ben Carson knows how People become Gay
Fascinating but not logical. First of all, there's a large record across numerous societies for hundreds of years of homosexuals not being persecuted.
On the other hand, there have been pretty consistent laws against murder, assault and so on - and yet people do those things despite the consequences and the risk. So are those choices - or are they have a genetic cause?
If the latter, then should not research be devoted to finding out what genetic failure causes murder, rape, assault and other crimes so that medical steps can be taken to correct (or at least identify and sequester) those who would murder, rape, assault and so on?
(This is not at all to equate homosexuality with murder. The enquiry is related to what is a solid argument for choice vs genetics in any context)
