you believe abortion is indefensible and murder? Fine, then denounce it all you want and try to win converts to your cause. No need for lies and deception.

Agreed
For Christianity, by identifying truth with faith, must teach-and, properly understood, does teach-that any interference with the truth is immoral. A Christian with faith has nothing to fear from the facts

This NYT article is worth reading in full. This Dear gentleman is a true sociopath. In a sworn affidavit as part of her divorce case, Ms. Micheau described Mr. Dear as a serial philanderer and a problem gambler, a man who kicked her, beat her head against the floor and fathered two children with other women while they were together. He found excuses for his transgressions, she said, in his idiosyncratic views on Christian eschatology and the nature of salvation.
“He claims to be a Christian and is extremely evangelistic, but does not follow the Bible in his actions,” Ms. Micheau said in the court document. “He says that as long as he believes he will be saved, he can do whatever he pleases. He is obsessed with the world coming to an end.”

As are many zealots and terrorists.

Apparently he's targeted a PP clinic before, but with what amounted to petty vandalism (gluing the locks).

Big RR, please advise:
Do you believe that Planned Parenthood DID NOT harvest and provide "baby parts" to third parties, and accept fees (or suggested donations) for the service?
Putting it another way, do you think the tapes in question were edited to the extent that these apparent transactions were invented and did not actually take place?

Of course, any legitimate medical organization would not have made such an unseemly effort to establish and record the amount of these routine costs before any tissue or services were provided; I think you can sense in the recordings how surprised and uncomfortable the PP personnel were at the way these phony medical people were talking about it.
If your point is only that fetal tissue research and fetal tissue donations should not be allowed under any circumstances, you have to realize that this is something specifically allowed under current law, and that the people who made the tape were not making any effort to change that particular aspect of the law. And, again, as Big RR said,

From what I have read, they did not; clearly sales of human organs and body parts is illegal--whether it is fetal tissue or blood. But just the Red Cross Blood Banks may be reimbursed for the costs of collecting and storing the blood, so can PP; since a transaction involves a quid pro quo on both sides, no such transactions took place. But yes, I do believe PP legally (see Econo's post for details) provided fetal tissue for scientific research (and not for the manufacture of cosmetics as some have alleged).
As for the editing of the tapes, IMHO they were edited to make it appear outrageous and sinister, while it was neither.
