My understanding is that Christie had been tapped to lead Trump's "transition team" in case the world turns upside down and he actually does get elected POTUS.
(or, more likely, hire the U-Hauls to take Trump back to the Dark Tower of Barad-dûr in Mordor his high-rise penthouse in NYC)

BTW, those three recent "battleground" state polls in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida are online polls NBC did with Survey Monkey, and you can pretty much toss them out...

Those online polls have been notoriously inaccurate predictors in the primaries, (Realclearpolitics.com won't include them in their poll lists or averages) consistently over-stating support for Trump and Sanders versus the actual primary day vote.

The reason for this is pretty obvious; their polling platform over-polls younger voters, and under-polls older voters and minority voters.
