Donald Trump Imagines Shadowy 'Conspiracy' Behind Women Accusing Him of Misdeeds
If Donald Trump loses in November, he'll have no shortage of people to blame. Besides himself, that is.
Trump, who has peddled a variety of conspiracy theories throughout his campaign, is in the midst of building his most elaborate one yet around the recent flood of allegations that he groped, kissed, and grabbed women without their consent.
At a Thursday rally in West Palm Beach, he lashed out at women accusing him of "fabricated" and "absolutely false" sexual misconduct, linking them to an ever-expanding plot to undermine his campaign that he's laid out in recent days.
"These people are horrible people, they're horrible, horrible liars and interestingly, it happens to appear 26 days before our very important election, isn't that amazing?" Trump said.
He claimed Clinton and the press engaged in a "concerted, coordinated" effort to find the women and publish their stories in order to distract from apparent hacked emails from Clinton aides posted on Wikileaks that Trump said are "exposing the massive international corruption of the Clinton machine."
"For them it's a war and for them nothing at all is out of bounds," he said.[wow, talk about projection]
American intelligence officials have squarely blamed a rash of hacking attacks against Democratic targets and distributed through Wikileaks on a Russian effort to influence the election — likely in Trump's favor.
But Trump's rhetoric, which he has said is no longer "shackled" by efforts to appease Republicans critics, is focusing on a supposed shadowy web of actors he claims are threatening to steal the election.
"This is a conspiracy against you, the American people, and we cannot let this happen or continue," Trump said.
Who's in on the conspiracy? Almost everybody.
On Thursday, Trump named his various female accusers, the corporate-owned media who reported their allegations, Hillary Clinton, the Department of Justice for not jailing Hillary Clinton, and Wall Street banks.
"The Clinton machine is at the center of this power structure," Trump said. "We have seen this in the WikiLeaks documents in which Hillary Clinton meets in secret with international banks to plot the destruction of U.S. sovereignty in order to enrich these global financial powers, her special interest friends, and her donors."
Other co-conspirators named by Trump earlier in the week included "crooked" public pollsters who showed Trump losing, election officials and "other communities" in swing states threatening to rig ballots, and a "sinister deal" involving Speaker Paul Ryan that Trump did not elaborate upon.
It seems everyone is in the dark secret society out to wreck Trump, with the exception of the person caught on tape saying he uses his celebrity status to "grab 'em by the p---y."
Or the person who told Howard Stern that his visits to young women's dressing rooms were a side benefit of owning beauty pageants.
Or the person who met a young girl in footage from 1992 and responded, "I am going to be dating her in 10 years."
(That person in each case, by the way, is Trump himself)
Now the former reality TV star stands accused by multiple women of carrying out almost the exact behavior he described when he boasted about groping women. He is also accused by former pageant contestants, including underage Miss Teen USA contestants, of entering their changing rooms in the same manner he described to Stern.
These "vicious claims," as Trump described them on Thursday, had no credibility. He pledged to present evidence soon that would discredit them.
Trump denied he inappropriately touched anyone in his speech. He reserved special venom for a People magazine writer who said Trump tried to force himself on her in 2005 while she was doing a profile of his life with his new bride Melania Trump. At one point, he seemed to suggest that she was too unattractive to lend her claim merit.
"Take a look, you take a look, look at her, look at her words, you tell me what you think," Trump said. "I don't think so, I don't think so."[So his "defense" is, "Come on, I'd never assault a dog like her"...]
Trump noted his wife was pregnant at the time the alleged encounter with the People writer took place. But she was also pregnant when the Access Hollywood tape was filmed, where Trump said he needed "tic tacs" to a kiss a woman he was ogling and made vulgar comments about co-host Nancy O'Dell to her co-workers for refusing his advances.
As his campaign fortunes sink, Trump's speeches resemble the comment section of Breitbart, the far-right news site that was run until recently by his campaign CEO Steve Bannon, and other corners of the Internet where he draws some of his most fervent support.
Gone is the old approach championed by Kellyanne Conway, to steadily draw in more mainstream conservatives with more disciplined rhetoric and more broadly focused appeals. [And thank God it's gone; that approach was making it a much closer race]Instead, Trump is reverting to the "Let Trump be Trump" approach personified by his old campaign manager Corey Lewandowski — who was also accused of assaulting a woman although the charges were later dropped.
Trump's speeches have become a Gatling gun of barbs at his critics that help fire up core supporters, with little mention of topics outside that might interest other voters. This strategy has yielded some benefits: Several Republican politicians who unendorsed Trump after the Access Hollywood tape re-endorsed him after his debate performance, which shoved aside political norms but rallied his supporters.
Whether it can win an election is another story, and right now polls show Clinton with a significant lead nationally and in most swing states. For Trump to come back in the final weeks of the race, he would need to mount a comeback like no other in recent history.
In the meantime, it's hard to miss that Trump's targets lately include every institution traditionally counted on to validate the legitimacy of November's election results, including pollsters, election workers, the press, and GOP leaders.
It raises the question whether Trump, who is now regularly warning of a "rigged" or "stolen" election, could be laying the groundwork for a post-election fight in which he — or his supporters — refuses to concede.
And as Trump moves into darker territory, there are other concerns that could extend beyond the election.
After Thursday afternoon's speech, some observers expressed alarm that language from Trump about an international cabal of media and finance leaders out to crush working Americans strongly resembled anti-Semitic tropes popular with fringe supporters of his campaign.
"I'm not suggesting that somehow what was said today had the intent of riling up the anti-Semites," Oren Segal, director of the Anti-Defamation League Center on Extremism, told NBC News. "But what I do know is that the anti-Semites will feel somewhat connected to the concepts there."
Democrats, for their part, aren't letting Trump go unchallenged. In a rare attack speech, first lady Michelle Obama excoriated Trump in New Hampshire for his comments and alleged behavior towards women.
"This is not normal," she said. "This is not politics as usual. This is disgraceful, it is intolerable, and it doesn't matter what party you belong to."

http://www.npr.org/2016/10/13/497846667 ... t-of-women
So I thought it would be important to remind these young women how valuable and precious they are. I wanted them to understand that the measure of any society is how it treats its women and girls. And I told them that they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, and I told them that they should disregard anyone who demeans or devalues them, and that they should make their voices heard in the world. And I walked away feeling so inspired, just like I'm inspired by all the young people here — and I was so uplifted by these girls. That was Tuesday.
And now, here I am, out on the campaign trail in an election where we have consistently been hearing hurtful, hateful language about women — language that has been painful for so many of us, not just as women, but as parents trying to protect our children and raise them to be caring, respectful adults, and as citizens who think that our nation's leaders should meet basic standards of human decency.
The fact is that in this election, we have a candidate for President of the United States who, over the course of his lifetime and the course of this campaign, has said things about women that are so shocking, so demeaning that I simply will not repeat anything here today. And last week, we saw this candidate actually bragging about sexually assaulting women. And I can't believe that I'm saying that a candidate for President of the United States has bragged about sexually assaulting women.
And I have to tell you that I can't stop thinking about this. It has shaken me to my core in a way that I couldn't have predicted. So while I'd love nothing more than to pretend like this isn't happening, and to come out here and do my normal campaign speech, it would be dishonest and disingenuous to me to just move on to the next thing like this was all just a bad dream.
This is not something that we can ignore. It's not something we can just sweep under the rug as just another disturbing footnote in a sad election season. Because this was not just a "lewd conversation." This wasn't just locker-room banter. This was a powerful individual speaking freely and openly about sexually predatory behavior, and actually bragging about kissing and groping women, using language so obscene that many of us were worried about our children hearing it when we turn on the TV.
And to make matters worse, it now seems very clear that this isn't an isolated incident. It's one of countless examples of how he has treated women his whole life. And I have to tell you that I listen to all of this and I feel it so personally, and I'm sure that many of you do too, particularly the women. The shameful comments about our bodies. The disrespect of our ambitions and intellect. The belief that you can do anything you want to a woman.
It is cruel. It's frightening. And the truth is, it hurts. It hurts. It's like that sick, sinking feeling you get when you're walking down the street minding your own business and some guy yells out vulgar words about your body. Or when you see that guy at work that stands just a little too close, stares a little too long, and makes you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.
It's that feeling of terror and violation that too many women have felt when someone has grabbed them, or forced himself on them and they've said no but he didn't listen — something that we know happens on college campuses and countless other places every single day. It reminds us of stories we heard from our mothers and grandmothers about how, back in their day, the boss could say and do whatever he pleased to the women in the office, and even though they worked so hard, jumped over every hurdle to prove themselves, it was never enough.
We thought all of that was ancient history, didn't we? And so many have worked for so many years to end this kind of violence and abuse and disrespect, but here we are in 2016 and we're hearing these exact same things every day on the campaign trail. We are drowning in it. And all of us are doing what women have always done: We're trying to keep our heads above water, just trying to get through it, trying to pretend like this doesn't really bother us maybe because we think that admitting how much it hurts makes us as women look weak.
Maybe we're afraid to be that vulnerable. Maybe we've grown accustomed to swallowing these emotions and staying quiet, because we've seen that people often won't take our word over his. Or maybe we don't want to believe that there are still people out there who think so little of us as women. Too many are treating this as just another day's headline, as if our outrage is overblown or unwarranted, as if this is normal, just politics as usual.
But, New Hampshire, be clear: This is not normal. This is not politics as usual. This is disgraceful. It is intolerable. And it doesn't matter what party you belong to — Democrat, Republican, independent — no woman deserves to be treated this way. None of us deserves this kind of abuse.
And I know it's a campaign, but this isn't about politics. It's about basic human decency. It's about right and wrong. And we simply cannot endure this, or expose our children to this any longer — not for another minute, and let alone for four years. Now is the time for all of us to stand up and say enough is enough. This has got to stop right now.
Because consider this: If all of this is painful to us as grown women, what do you think this is doing to our children? What message are our little girls hearing about who they should look like, how they should act? What lessons are they learning about their value as professionals, as human beings, about their dreams and aspirations? And how is this affecting men and boys in this country? Because I can tell you that the men in my life do not talk about women like this. And I know that my family is not unusual. And to dismiss this as everyday locker-room talk is an insult to decent men everywhere.
Please listen to or read her whole speech, it's worth repeating and sharing. We can sto(m)p him!!

"Donald J. Trump. . .said allegations that he had made unwanted advances on women were not true." from photo caption in NY Times.
I firmly believe the Donald is not lying here. He is speaking the truth as only he knows it. In his universe there are NO females (I started to type human beings, but I consider a strong possibility that the Donald does not limit this to only one species.) who do not want to have sex with him. Therefore his advances are never unwanted.

I just realized when I saw the photo of Hillary at the end of John Oliver's video above that by the time she leaves office in 8 years she is going to look a lot like George Washington.
I wonder if she will eventually be called 'The mother of our country'?

If that happens, their credibility will be greatly enhanced by this tape...
All of Donald Trump’s Accusers: A Timeline of Every Alleged Grope and Assault
In the days since a video emerged showing Donald Trump bragging about his ability to get away with sexually assault, several women have stepped forward to allege the Republican presidential nominee touched them inappropriately. Together, their allegations amount to a substantial list of alleged sexual harassment and assault dating back to the early 1980s. Trump has denied every allegation against him.
Early 1980s: Jessica Leeds claims she was groped on a flight: Leeds, now 74, told The New York Times on Wednesday that shortly after her flight took off to New York, over three decades ago, Trump raised the armrest separating them and grabbed her breasts and tried to put his hands up her skirt. “He was like an octopus,” she said. “His hands were everywhere.”
Early 1990s: Kristin Anderson claims he touched her genitals: The Washington Post reported on Friday that Anderson was at The China Club in Manhattan when Trump, without introducing himself or speaking to her, reached his hand up her skirt while they were seated. "This is the vivid part for me: The person on my right, unbeknownst to me was Donald Trump, put their hands up my skirt. He did touch my vagina through my underwear, absolutely." At the time, Anderson got up and told her friends but did nothing about the incident. She added that, over the years, her opinion has changed: "It's actually not nothing, and it really sends an awful message to women that they are nothing." The bus tape was "nauseating” to Anderson and that the story of Trump allegedly groping a woman on an airplane motivated her to come forward to "back these girls up."
1993: Makeup artist Jill Harth accuses Trump of attempted rape: Harth alleged in a Guardian interview that Trump had cornered her and groped her in his daughter Ivanka’s bedroom. “He pushed me up against the wall, and had his hands all over me and tried to get up my dress again,” Harth told The Guardian, “and I had to physically say: ‘What are you doing? Stop it.’ It was a shocking thing to have him do this because he knew I was with George [Harth’s boyfriend at the time], he knew they were in the next room. And how could he be doing this when I’m there for business?”
[This next one is particularly creepy:]
1997: ]Miss Teen USA contestants say Trump walked in on underage girls dressing backstage: Four women who competed in the contest alleged to BuzzFeed News that Trump walked into the dressing room while they were changing. Tasha Dixon, who competed as Miss USA Arizona—not in the teen competition—in 2001 said: “He just came strolling right in. There was no second to put a robe on or any sort of clothing or anything. Some girls were topless. Other girls were naked.” Some of the contestants in Miss Teen USA were as young as 15. “Don’t worry, ladies, I’ve seen it all before,” Trump allegedly said.
Trump would later admit that he did these sorts of things during an appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show.
1997: Temple Taggart McDowell said Trump Kissed Her Without Her Consent: As a 21-year-old Miss USA contestant, Temple Taggart McDowell was introduced to Trump during a pageant rehearsal in Shreveport, Louisiana. She says Trump embraced her and then immediately kissed her. “He kissed me directly on the lips. I thought, ‘Oh my God, gross.’ she told The New York Times. “He was married to Marla Maples at the time. I think there were a few other girls that he kissed on the mouth. I was like ‘Wow, that’s inappropriate.’”
2003: Mindy McGillivray claims he groped her at Mar-a-Lago: The woman, then 23, told the Palm Beach Post on Wednesday: “All of a sudden I felt a grab, a little nudge. I think it’s Ken’s camera bag, that was my first instinct. I turn around and there’s Donald. He sort of looked away quickly.” McGillivray said she recalls telling the photographer, Ken Davidoff, “Donald just grabbed my ass.”
2005: Rachel Crooks said he forcibly kissed her at Trump Tower: Crooks, who was working at the real-estate company Bayrock Group at Trump Tower, told The New York Times on Wednesday that after a handshake, Trump began kissing her on the cheeks and then directly on the mouth. “It was so inappropriate,” Crooks said. “I was so upset that he thought I was so insignificant that he could do that.”
2005: People reporter Natasha Stoynoff alleges Trump pushed her against a wall and forced a kiss on her: Stoynoff, who writes that she had a developed a friendly relationship with Trump and Melania while on the Trump beat for People, had come to Mar-A-Lago to report on the couple’s first wedding anniversary. When pregnant Melania went upstairs to change clothes, Stoynoff writes, Trump said he had a “tremendous” room to show her and led her into another room and shut the door. There, she writes, “within seconds, he was pushing me against the wall, and forcing his tongue down my throat.” The alleged incident ended when Trump’s butler entered the room to say Melania was on her way down. “You know we’re going to have an affair, don’t you?” Trump allegedly said when the butler left.
2007: Former Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos says he thrust his genitals at her: On Friday, Zervos accused Trump of groping her and trying to have sex with during a job interview. Zervos had been a contestant on Season 5 of The Apprentice in 2005 and came to his golf course in Palos Verdes, California to discuss a job opportunity two years later. Zervos said Trump kissed her forcibly on the lips several times and groped her. A second time, Trump allegedly walked her into a bed room and began "thrusting his genitals" at her before she told him to stop. The two had dinner immediately afterwards, where Trump allegedly "started saying that he did not think that I ever known love."
2010: Trump allegedly tries to kiss woman in a boardroom: CNN anchor Erin Burnett told a story relayed to her from a friend about Trump attempting an unprompted kiss. “Trump took Tic Tacs, suggested I take them also. He then leaned in, catching me off guard, and kissed me almost on lips. I was really freaked out,” Burnett quoted her friend as saying. Afterward, the friend said Trump told her how “special I am” and asked her to call him.
2013: Cassandra Searles alleges that Trump groped her: Cassandra Searles, a former Miss Washington who participated in the Miss USA contest while Trump was an owner, posted on Facebook saying, “he continually grabbed my ass and invited me to his hotel room,” reported Seattle’s KING-TV.

Re: Grab them by the PUSSY
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/15/us/po ... .html?_r=0Even as two more women came forward on Friday to say he had groped them, Mr. Trump dismissed the mounting accusations as “total fiction” and “lies, lies, lies.” He assailed the motives of the women speaking out against him, and seemed to mock two of them as not attractive enough to draw his interest.
“Believe me, she would not be my first choice,” Mr. Trump said of Jessica Leeds, who said Mr. Trump groped her on an airplane in the 1980s. He referred to Ms. Leeds, now 74, as “that horrible woman.”
He was similarly dismissive of Natasha Stoynoff, a former writer for People magazine, who accused Mr. Trump of physically accosting her during an interview. “Check out her Facebook page, you’ll understand,” he said.
One of the things I find fascinating about this part of it from a psychological profile stand point, is the way Trump seems utterly oblivious to how he is compounding the political damage every time he says or implies that some of the women accusing him aren't attractive enough for him to have assaulted...
He doesn't seem to realize (or perhaps care) that the obvious subtext is, "Of course, if they were attractive, I might have"...
He seems to be offended, not so much by the accusation that he would do these things at all, but more by the idea that he would do them to women who don't meet his "standards"....
I think his intent in doing this is to try and intimidate others into not coming forward (especially directing the Trumpanzees to one woman's Facebook page...obviously he's trying to incite a cyber hate storm against her) a good guess would be that there may be dozens of women who could relate similar incidents about him...
But the effect is to reinforce the credibility of the existing charges...
And of course to once again highlight his basic misogyny...
ETA:
Of course, some of the hardcore Trumpanzee women don't find any of this a bit offensive:

Grab Them By The PUSSY
As Drumpf would mockingly say about these deluded Trumpettes, “Yeah, I’m gonna go after — believe me, they would not be my first choice, that I can tell you... and if they walked in front of me, believe me, I wouldn’t impressed.”

“In a world whose absurdity appears to be so impenetrable, we simply must reach a greater degree of understanding among us, a greater sincerity.”
Re: Grab them by the PUSSY
The one with his pregnant wife upstairs really, REALLY disgusts me. But he did say to someone that Melania was a monster while pregnant; any husband with so little compassion or care for the side effects of pregnancy on his wife's body and moods is just a complete . . . I can't say dog or pig or monster because to do so insults dogs, pigs & monsters.

http://www.thedailybeast.com/cheats/201 ... ce=copyurlAnother Trump Accuser Comes Forward
Another woman has come forward and accused Donald Trump of unwelcome sexual advances.
Cathy Heller said in comments to The Guardian that Trump grabbed her and tried to kiss her 20 years ago. When she wriggled away, he said, “Oh, come on” before holding her and kissing her on the lips despite her obvious objections.
Heller says the incident took place in 1997 at a Mother’s Day brunch at Trump’s Mar-A-Lago estate. When Heller was introduced to Trump, he “took my hand, and grabbed me, and went for the lips,” she alleges. “And then he just walked away,” she said. Another person who was seated with Heller at the table that day confirmed the incident to The Guardian, and a friend said Heller had told her about the encounter by email.
“I remember she was really freaked out,” the friend said. Heller’s account is eerily similar to Trump’s own admission in a 2005 that he “just starts kissing” women and doesn’t “even wait.” Heller came forward now, she said, because she believes the other accusers and wants to show that Trump’s actions are not “just talk,” as he has tried to claim.
