BSG it's nice to see Nature being quoted - 45 years ago they saw fit to publish my first contribution to the scientific literature. So they have been right for a long time.
I watched with horror and embarrassment Trump's discourse at the WH at 645 PM Eastern. At some point I was almost sorry for the man. (It didn't last.) Clearly an intervention is needed. I suggest Pence, McConnell and John Roberts. (As relatively sane members of all three branches of government and reliable Republicans all.) A couple of US Marshals and guys in white coats would not go amiss.
Maybe the guy with the nuclear football should go AWOL for a while.
836 PM Eastern - GA Trump majority down to 3486 - was over 300,000 IIRC on Tuesday night. And PA down to 53,000 - it was over 600,000. Biden is going to win PA - 75% of the 'late' votes - i.e., the postal votes - now being counted are Biden's.
If they were so good at stealing the presidential vote, you'd think the dems could at least also have assured that the Senate flipped and most republican House seats flipped as well. b

Exactly! I hate that those nasty people got re-elected, BUT, it will end up delegitimizing Trump because they won’t want to call the election fraudulent when they WON.
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

I was on the Fox News site to see how they were handling all this. (Nothing yet worth remarking.) Anyway there was a story about a racing driver losing his legs in a horrific accident at Silverstone (UK circuit) which I had not seen elsewhere so I clicked on it to find out more. Tragic of course and most of the comments were of the 'thoughts and prayers' variety. But one comment from 'spectator 2242' read: "CNN producer, "find an angle to tie Trump into this thing!" This had 18 'likes' and 0 'dislikes.' (It now has one dislike, from me.). The only person who has tied Trump into that tragic accident is spectator 2242. He probably doesn't get irony.
Andy, thank you for posting the link about a F-Ford accident in England. i note there is no 'clip' of the accident. I have been a fan of auto racing ever since I discovered the noise that was keeping me from going to sleep on Saturday nite was the sound of Alcohol fueled midget racers at least 5 miles away in a straight line, with hills between us. I was about 6 years old. Summer in Kansas City. No air-conditioning and the windows were open 1945. I went to grade school and High School with Masten Gregory's cousin.
I resent the comments from the social experts that the only reason people watch these things is to see the crashes. I see the beauty of someone doing something very difficult that punishes mistakes severely.
