Such problems the Sgt-at-arms now has in the House of representatives. Who does he admit into the chamber first? The federal cops to arrest him for a Ponzi Scheme, the federal cops to arrest him for mail fraud for the go-fund-me project for the veteran's dog, or the cops from Brazil after him for bad checks?

People who are wrong are just as sure they're right as people who are right. The only difference is, they're wrong.

The House voted yesterday to censure Adam Schiff for 'conduct that misleads the American people' (HR 521 118th Congress) by 213 to 209. George Santos was among the 'yea' votes. https://www.congress.gov/congressional- ... le/H3048-1

I was going to put this in the 'You really can't make this stuff up' thread.

'conduct that misleads the American people'

This is the charge from the same group that can't get enough of huffing Donald Trump's taint?

These people are clowns.

Resurrecting this golden oldie

I have given George Santos no thought since January 2023. But his sentence has now been commuted, he has been released from prison, and he no longer has to compensate all those people he defrauded and/or stole money from. He has not been pardoned: he pled guilty.

There may be a silver lining to this - maybe many of the MAGA crowd will finally realize what a total turd they placed in power.

Probably not.

Pictures don't lie--but they can conceal their source and provenance. I just saw elsewhere a recent pic of this felon wearing a red MAGA hat with the delightful modification of a dollar sign in front of MAGA.

Oh and by the way, does commuting his sentence end requirements for restitution to the victims?

In this case it explicitly sad restitution was ended, but I believe he would still be civilly liable if he was sued (unless any statute of limitations has been exceeded). Perhaps Sue might know for certain.
