I conclude that the agreement by CBS that the two speakers could fact-check each other was blatantly journalism yielding to pressures of showmanship.

Once broadcast news programing was managed as a public service. Now it is purely a cash source.

At least the "we aren't going to fact check" thing gave us a chuckle when Vance complained about being fact checked. May as well have said, "I wouldn't have been lying if I knew you would call me on it"
