Absolutely speechless
Secretary of War Crimes Pete Hegseth tells top brass there are no longer any "rules of engagement" for the US military; Il Douche says he will use the military against "the enemy within" in American cities.

Former Air Force Secretary Kendall called the speeches bizarre, unhinged and dangerous.
Listening to some retired high ranking military officers on the news and just hoping their attitudes are reflective of currently serving officers and that they will refuse unlawful orders when they come, and they are most certainly coming.
Trump wants to unleash our military on the enemy within - that’s me, and most of us here.
I’m thinking about the sailor who threatened my life on Facebook in the wake of the Kirk murder; I have no doubt there are far too many in the enlisted ranks who would relish the opportunity to make war on their fellow citizens.

Re: Absolutely speechless
I was reading about the bombing of Venezuelan boats, which was apparently somehow at the direction of Temu Goebbles Stephen Miller (???) with the blessing of Mango Mussolini. They didn't care whether it was a violation of international law or murder; their only question was whether anyone could stop them. This is how we are rolling right into a fascist dictatorship, and that is not hyperbole in any sense.
If Congress does not take immediate action to curb or impeach these motherfuckers, the American enterprise will be irretrievably lost.

I don't think the U.S. military would make war on the American people, unless it's in response to an insurrection. But if liberals think they can destroy federal property or invade and destroy military bases, they’re wrong. The Army National Guard can be used to protect those assets, citizens, and ICE agents when they’re carrying out their duties. Those are legitimate uses of the military.
You remember the 101st Airborne was used in Little Rock in 1957, wasn’t it? Technically, that was a violation of the Posse Comitatus Act—but in emergencies, emergency actions can be taken.

Soon, I’ll post my farewell message. The end is starting to get close. There are many misconceptions about me, and before I go, to live with my ancestors on the steppes, I want to set the record straight.

Do you remember the insurrection in Portland? I think it was when insurrectionists attempted to burn a federal courthouse. I don't believe the National Guard was used in that case, but it should have been. That was a mistake, and it won't be made twice.

Do you remember January 6th 2021? Trump later lied and said he offered the National Guard to "Nikki Haley"... Pelosi....
Then MAGA people broke down windows and doors to get into the Capitol Building and trashed it while some of them wanted to hang Mike Pence and do who knows what else to Nancy Pelosi and others..
And Trump pardoned those MAGA people.
Shouldn't "liberals" be allowed to destroy federal property too?
Re: Absolutely speechless
They have already proven that they will obey unlawful orders, like the boat attacks that Sue just referenced, as well as the activities of National Guard units that were mobilized in cities.

I don't believe I disagree with anything you said, except I remember that the National Guard was used. So, if the Guard can be used in that case, why can't it be used in others where it's protecting federal property and personnel?Joe Guy wrote: ↑Wed Oct 01, 2025 12:45 amliberty wrote: ↑Tue Sep 30, 2025 11:43 pm......But if liberals think they can destroy federal property or invade and destroy military bases, they’re wrong. Re: Absolutely speechless
You remember correctly.
You'll also remember Mike Pence was one of the targets of the rioters and was himself cut off from avenues of escape as much as others. In preparation for planned protests, 340 D.C. National Guardsmen were activated for traffic and metro crowd control duties on January 5th and 6th. At around 1:49 p.m., after the Capitol security perimeter had been breached, Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund made a "frantic call" to Major General William Walker, the head of the D.C. National Guard, requesting immediate support. It was not until 5:40 p.m. that the National Guard finally arrived on the Capitol grounds. By this time, the Metropolitan Police Department and Capitol Police had largely contained the riot.
While some House Republicans have alleged that former President Trump was ignored by Pentagon officials after directing them to send the Guard, the House Jan. 6 Committee found that Trump made no effort to call senior defense officials that day. Instead, it was Vice President Mike Pence who instructed Pentagon leaders to deploy the troops

Re: Absolutely speechless
Congress should act, but it won't; they can't even pass a temporary bill to keep the government open because it might involve some compromise; and so the people (at least many of them) are willing to permit the executive to act unilaterally. that's always a danger, but with an asshole like Trump as president, it's a catastrophe.Sue U wrote: ↑Tue Sep 30, 2025 10:29 pmI was reading about the bombing of Venezuelan boats, which was apparently somehow at the direction of Temu Goebbles Stephen Miller (???) with the blessing of Mango Mussolini.
