Fred is Back.

[Burning Petard]

Way back in a couple of previous iterations of this community, I was introduced to Fred Reed. He wrote about all kinds of stuff, mostly current events.
He was intentionally controversial. Others members of the community seemed to think even skimming his stuff was morally and ethically wrong. I thought he was fun. He fadded away, sort of like Molly Ivans and Art Buchwald, who could be also be offensive, but were both funnier. Most of the last stuff by Fred that I did read noted lots of physical problems and becoming an ex-pat in Mexico. I sort of assumed that he was dead by now. Meantime, I found Jim Wright and Stone Kettle. He was much more nuanced than Fred, with a point of view more in line with my own, Jim was quoted he once in a while with some who called him Jim Wrong. Jim moved from Alaska to the Florida panhandle and devoted himself to family problems. He has not posted on Stone Kettle for almost a year, not even to sell his wood shop projects.

But today I found in my most public email addy, a note that Fred Reed was back. It was a long sermon on why we, the general American public, were very badly informed and thus wrongly opinioned, about China. It was date lined recently. So Fred really is back. If you are interested, here is the link

By the way, I have six different email addresses One is devoted only to checking in with Amazon. That addy gets almost NO spam. That must be a business policy of Jeff Bezos and for that I thank him. I do my very best to avoid anything related to Google.
