Why did the UK not go along with the Euro?
Were you for or against losing the Pound in favor of the Euro?
Are you glad now the country did not?
Ukers a question

A step too far in losing sovereignty, no way it could be sold to the Brit public.@meric@nwom@n wrote:Why did the UK not go along with the Euro?
Too young for it to matter really. Were you for or against losing the Pound in favor of the Euro?
Definitely! It's not been a major disater . Yet.Are you glad now the country did not?
“If you trust in yourself, and believe in your dreams, and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”

UK based PR - we're easily led. We'll accept anything if the PR is right. Probably just as well though - most people aren't really in a position to understand all the technical ramifications of big decisions like that. I was never comfortable with the limitations on economic policy it would have implied.@meric@nwom@n wrote:Why did the UK not go along with the Euro?
I was against. The way the Euro is works well for the Brits - when we visit Europe we only have to deal with one currency (unless we visit Switzerland of course). And it is kind of nice to have a different currency to use when travelling - makes me feel I am abroad@meric@nwom@n wrote:Were you for or against losing the Pound in favor of the Euro?
Absolutely.@meric@nwom@n wrote:Are you glad now the country did not?
If a man speaks in the forest and there are no women around to hear is he still wrong?
Re: Ukers a question
It was wise not to tie your currency in with that of other nations.
You should take a lottery ticket now.
